Yes but shouldn't a rock star be able to sing the night after getting pissed? He's still well able to sing in those videos. If he avoided going on the piss for a whole tour just to sound better I think he'd get sick of being in a band pretty quick. He's enjoying himself which is the main thing theres no excuse to sound that bad. people paid to see him (and not the rest of his little band). and the main thing is his voice.. not if he's enjoying himself or not. dont care if he's not enjoying it, if he sings good. we all fell for that mega voice... and now he's completely lost it (for Oasis songs anyway) they'd rather only play their own fucking songs.. and what a waste that last lead guitar part on Morning Glory... Andy Bell... what a twat.

i can't wait to hear your justification if one of the BDI members ends up being a serial killer. God bless. My money is on Andy Bell. He has that vibe. It'll be Gem. It'll always be the guy that everyone would never have thought would have been capable of it. Or maybe Chris. He just blends in the background like a good psychopath should

Out of interest, has no one here had a less than stellar day at work after indulging the night before? Its not about being a 'rock star'. Just about being like a lot of other people. Personally I don't get drunk if I work the next day. I'll go out sure. Might even have a single drink. But I know that I can't do my job properly hungover or drunk...so I don't do it. Liam knows he shouldn't be drinking before a gig. He was the one that said he was stopping drinking because it was bad for his voice What it comes down to is that Liam valued his night out drinking more than he did putting in a good performance for the crowd that was gonna be watching him. Sad for the crowd that got a sub par performance. Sad for BDI that they didn't give themselves the best shot at winning over the non-believers in the crowd. No one said that he had to stay in the hotel twiddling his thumbs...but there is a middle ground between that and a binge. There are ways to enjoy yourself without drinking extensively. But like you say. It's an isolated incidence at this point. That doesn't make it alright that he did it though. Let's just hope this doesn't happen again.

This is why I admire Eddie Vedder and Thom Yorker so much. They sound the same as they did 20 years ago. Eddie even drinks during gigs on a continual basis. Usually a bottle of wine over a 3 hour gig. Maybe it's just genetic as well. Sure going on a drinking binge pre gig doesn't help but maybe it's not in the cards for Liam's voice to be circa 1997 all his life. Look at bob Dylan. I can't listen to him live anymore. In my opinion it's awful. Liam needs plenty of nights off between gigs. That's the key I think. His voice was in shambles when I saw BDI in December.

He sounds substantially worse than he did last tour. No one is expecting 1997...a good 2011 would be nice though. And he had 4 weeks off between gigs. The last one was the Heaton Park gig in late June.

I don't think they were, Warrington was very close but at the start of the DGSS tour he was on fire, as good as he was 10 years ago no doubt, he sounded good most of the gigs this year but not that good

Here's two other vids from yesterday...
I think he sounds better on this song than he has for the last 6-10 years, easily. Even better when thinking about him not being helped by any backing vocals from Noel.

Sounds slightly stale without Noel, especially in the guitar department, but there you go.

This band was going in a good direction, can't help but think they've taken a step or two backwards. If anything, they should've played the Oasis songs they wrote.

I don't see why Andy and gem don't do any backing vocals at all, fair enough the welllllll off morning glory could be a bit tricky but singing the odd line of rock n roll star is no chore and when Noel did it it sounded good IMO, it makes it a lot trickier for Liam.

Bitterly dedicating a song to the man who wrote it. Hilarious.
Noel's moved on. Get over it!
