I concur the Boss is great. Agree with the guy that the only album I dont really like is the Rising. That picture in the gentleman's post above is quite charming .

It takes a top musician to put in harmonica parts on most of your tunes

Any fans here? Just finished listening to a couple of his acoustic albums for the umpteenth time (the amazing Nebraska and Ghost of Tom Joad). Favourite tunes of his anyone? Mine has to be Atlantic City.

Bruce Springsteen? Where to start.... 1 of the earlist memories of music was from this man. I would say he's maybe my favourite ever artist. As a songwriter he must be up there with your Dylans, Lennon/McCarney and Simons?
Thunder road, Growin Up, Jungleland The River. I could go on and on so many classic songs.
Had Nebraska on recently actually great album, haunting at times.

Im only 16 and I think I can speak for us all when I say that BTR, DOTEOT and The River are 3 of the greatest albums ever made. Get the "Tracks" boxset or whatever and take all the outtakes from the River and put them together. He coulda made a triple album out of it.

He has to be one of my least favorite artist of all-time. Not sure why, but I can't get into him. Probably his shit voice. I dunno. Not my thing I guess.

Hes certainly not for everyone. I have to take him in small doses because most of his stuff sounds the same.

Love the Boss. Nebraska is my favorite album by him. But I do love Born In The USA, Ashbury Park, Born to Run (pure brilliance), and obviously Nebraska.

i've really been trying to like this song, but i just don't. the chorus makes me cringe every time i hear it. also i've been reading on a springsteen forum about how over the past few tours he's had the tendency to go off on random political diatribes during gigs .... i really hope he just plays the music this time around.

Disc two of tracks might be my favorite Springsteen album after DOTEOT. Its amazing how many great songs he left off albums. Taking my nephew to see him next month. Hes 24. He appreciates the music but not really a fan. I hope this changes his opinion.

Im not a big fan of the song either. The main problem with it is like BITUSA people hear the chorus and think its a patriotic anthem. He usually doesnt go on a political rant but he might take a couple minutes out of the show to discuss the economy or the state of the country. Its a low point in the setlist for me but once hes done hes back to rocking.

i've tried listening to the song a few times, but i don't like it. sounds like he wrote it for placement in a ford pickup truck commercial.
