Im there!!!!
Would be really great if all of us fans could meet up together at a bar in center city near the show, and pump up the jukebox with nothing but Oasis songs.
If anyone has a pre-game plan, please throw it out there for the rest of us.

Im from Philly. A lot of bars near within a 5 block radius of the show. The problem is finding one with a possible drink special, and one with an Oasis album or two on it.
Im a firm believer in listening to the band ur seeing as your hanging out that day. No box will have NGHFB because it will only be a few days released by then.
Anyone have any ideas, shout them out loud!!!!

How 'bout any of the Irish bars in the area? www.fadoirishpub.com/philadelphia/home www.finnmccoolsphilly.com/ But that's just me doing an internet search from about an hour north of Philly. Haven't been to Center City in a while. Jag if you have any first hand knowledge being a native, I'm up for it. I agree - if we can listen to the band before the show, even better! And maybe Noel will be out and about like Beady Eye was before their show.

Hey all,
I always read the newsroom but never registered here until today. Thought I would help the out of towners with some tips.
The closest pub would be Fado, Tavern on Broad, or McGillians. Other options in the area (couple blocks walk) would be Misconduct, Monks, Fox n Hound, or The Black Sheep.
I personally like Fado and the Black Sheep.
Whatever you do steer clear of McGlincheys. It's close and its cheap but its stinks- literally. The bathroom reeks of stale p*ss and puke. It literally has not been cleaned since the Clinton adminstration. Its not a folksy dive, its just nasty. Plus they have weird prices and the staff leaves much to be desired.
Can't wait for the show!

Not sure of a music selection, but, brother and I are planning on Good Dog which is right around the corner from the AoM.

Long time lurker, posting for the first time.
I will be at the show and live in Philly so wanted to chime in on potential pubs to meet up. sjc8 listed most of the pubs near the venue and, I agree that Black Sheep would be a great spot to gather. Not sure of the music selection on the jukebox (or if they even have one) but it's a very laid back spot with a great beer selection. The bartenders I've spoken to when I've stopped there in the past have all been pretty chill.
My 2nd choice would be McGillin's Olde Ale House. Much bigger place but they have an upstairs area which would prob be fine. Again, unsure on music selection. I'm planning on checking these places out this weekend and will let you all know what's up. I will be out early on Friday knocking back a few pints if anyone wants to join.
Oh, btw, for the out-of-towners looking for a cheesesteak after the show, you can't go wrong with Jim's on 4th and South.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions, I appreciate the insider knowledge on the places close by. Looks like Black Sheep has a few votes, as does McGillin's. I'm planning on being close by the venue around 2 or 3 ish, if all goes well, so I'm not opposed to meeting anyone early. But if we wanted to get a group together, maybe let's say around 5-6 at Black Sheep?
