Couldn't find it at the link you gave...I looked through all the parts and none of them had mention of Noel or performances.

Was anyone else NOT completely convinced with the IIHAG performance? I am a bit surprised everyone seems to be so positive here as I really felt like meh... don't think it's that good. it's not strong enough but perhaps it's just because it's a tv show. will see. edit: i mean it's kind of strong but it just overdubs the whole melody

K+ to icebreath
I thought it was an awesome performance, Noel looking young as ever too.
Also, sorry if this has already been mentioned, but is that the fucking guy from Eurotrash with the grey hair?

Two great performances. Was surprised to hear IIHAG full band, I thought Noel was only going to play it acoustic alone.

Gotta say, I'm not a fan of the band live. I've always felt Noel's best live when doing little acoustic sets, and this only deepens my feelings on that. I'll wait til I hear the whole set, but I'm not overly hopeful.
The music's still great though.

I really like how the band sounds, but noel needs to turn up the mic. He likes have his voice down on the mix, don´t know why.

You take Noel out of that band and they look like your local dive cover band that plays every Friday night.

I think it sounds good, he needs to sack that jacket (sorry Andymorris) but I get the feeling he probably wears it to bed as well. Get along to Covent Garden Noel & get a Pretty Green one ;-)

I actually said something similar to Lennon and deleted coz i couldn't be arsed with the fall out but.............. was pretty pub rock. Seriously unimpressed with the guitarist. First sign of amateurishness for me is a 'lead guitarist' playing with a capo on the same fret as the rhythm player. I HATE that. Always was pleased Gem rarely did that so to add a different tone by playing chords elsehwere. But jesus, this is lazy

Seriously? Guitarist is an amateur because he is playing with a capo on a keyboard dominant song.some people really It's not freaking Purple Haze

It was solid, but we all know Noel can do better.
Frankly, I don't understand why he's not belting this out like he did with the likes of LBL and DLBIA circa 2002 and 2000, and I have no idea why his acoustic performances have been poor by his TCT standards.
Maybe he's just getting used to the new songs, still?
