I'm disappointed you think EOTR is one of the least strong tracks you've heard. I was banking on this song being the best song off the album. The soundcheck demo sounded amazing. And the choir and strings instrumental sounded HUGE. I am really looking forward to this song, but if you're saying you enjoyed TDOYAM more...well I just don't know, i suppose to each is own. The way TDOYAM is being passed as amazing and whatnot from critics and etc. makes me see it as very overrated. That could just be me... Yeah, it's a good song, but really? I still expect more from EOTR like you. EOTR stripped down isn't really something to be excited bout. Sure the finished product could be amazing, but the melody itself is weak and repetitive. Wait! just like two out of the four songs we've hear...

the soundcheck sounded good. the choir and strings sounded huge. there must have been something really bad happen to waste this potential. so i really looking forward to this. and his description said that this song is "huge" and "epic". so i think it will be amazing

It could be one of the best, and the most emotional one

I think RM and EOTR are at least as strong as the other 3. I actually like a lot of things about TDOYAM as it's a bit leftfield and has a really strong vocal with a bit of "grit" on it. EOTR is more of an Oasis/Chem Bros blend, if you know what I mean. RM is the tune you know but cleaned up/finalized. I'm disappointed you think EOTR is one of the least strong tracks you've heard. He said its atleast as good as the other songs, not one of the least strong. Infact in his review he calls it 'huge'. You can't blame him if he likes tdomay. I happen to really like that song too. I was in a shop that had it on the other day and it sounded like a proper class song. Plus he would have heard this song a lot more than the others and on an official quality format for him to have really gotten into it. PS. How do you give karma cos Jeff is gonna take my karma cherry lol

I don't get a Chemical Brothers vibe at all from the soundcheck or the instrumental version released on Noel's website. Are there electronic beats/elements to it now? Very curious how this song is shaping up now. I expected to be an acoustic spaghetti western/Ennio Morricone type tune. Thanks as always.

But you're right that it comes down to personal taste. I can say I don't think anyone here will be disappointed.

BTW, here's some news I didn't put in my column. The video for TDOYAM was the first in a trilogy.

We would include Track 2, but that would make too much sense. But yeah sorry. My mind refused to count how many tracks were sampled... But why preview 3 tracks that pretty much everyone's heard already? "Oh man, I wonder what The Death Of You And Me sounds like? I hope it sounds like that song that goes under the same name and performed by the same guy!... Oh, wait. Damn "

I'm interviewing Noel on the 11th. I've compiled everyone's thoughts/questions. Will do my best to utilize them.
