the Amorphous Androgynous is actually an alias for the band which is actually called The Future Sound Of London. the AA name is what they record the psychedelic stuff under. they have recorded under dozens of other names too.
so this album with Noel might end up being another project and the band+noel might release under a completely new name..
although i could be talking shit and its just released as Noel Gallagher + Amorphous Androgynous
thoughts?

My friend's sister looks after Noel's cat when he's on tour so I have it on good authority that the band name will be Noelly G's Banana Smokin' Hermaphrodite Weasils...

More seriously I doubt they'll use FSOL or any of their other pseudonyms. They have done almost nothing under the FSOL moniker in the last ten years and are more into the psychedelic stuff for which Noel hired them.
I expect it'll either be HFB again - because Noel described it as a 'companion' album - or possibly Noel Gallagher & AA, as it sounds like they've had much more creative input than just manning the faders...

I don't see why the name would be different seeing as they're only producing it.
Calling it Noel Gallagher and AA would be like calling the first album Noel Gallagher and Dave Sardy.

They defo be called NGHFB.
Noel specifically said said many times the HFB aren't any set people and line ups change all time. If anything this was probably said to pre empt the question why completely different musicians played / may play that album live.
also as said above they produced the album Ill be surprised if the get any co writing credits

Not to say that i think they'll share writing credits, but Noel said that the AA completely chopped his songs up, taking a bass line from one song and putting it in another etc. He also said he didn't know who half the musicians were who played on the album because the AA brought them in. So they had significant creative input and didn't 'just produce' it...
Noel has also likened himself to Neil Young now. I can't remember the exact quote but it was something along the lines of 'my talent is too great for one band'.
We'll find out in time I guess. But if the band is called Noelly G's Banana Smokin' Hermaphrodite Weasils, I broke that story ;-)

Here's the quote I couldn't remember. He's talking about Shakey, the Neil Young biography. "There's a quote in it that changed my life, he's asked why he's been in Buffalo Springfield, Crazy Horse and all these other bands and he replies, "No one band is big enough to hold what I've got." At the time of reading it, I felt like that. In the last few years of Oasis I was only writing half the album, so I put out 15 songs in 10 years. I must have written 60 a year. I kept going back to that quote." stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.com/2011/07/noel-gallagher-thinks-these-book-are.html
