LOL...go for it.
I doubt he'll end up in the top 10 though. As the chart success thread has put forth. This included a lot of presales. His sales are going to be frontloaded. All the singles around him were selling enough after several weeks with more steady sales. They'll probably continue to sell a consistent amount in the second half of the week as the first half of the week whereas Noel's sales will be less in the second half with less without presales counting.
I'm impressed he's top 20. The Arctic Monkey's debut single from Suck it and See charted @ 28 for instance. And BDI's highest charting was 31.

Its good news that the Noel song is selling, no doubt people will start the Noel/Beady Eye comparison !
Be interesting to see the breakdown on how many cd singles were sold (Beady Eye mistake not to do those). Of course the singles out before the album so thats another reason why its selling a lot more, didnt Millionaire etc come out after the album ?
Anyway great news, cant wait to hear more from Noel

That Calvin Harris song is a tune it must be said Well, it's not for me. This is a tune (sounds best on vinyl : Sadly, as others have mentioned Noel's sales are heavily front loaded with pre-sales and hardcore fans buying it the day it comes out.

Thing is, it only costs a quid... We could easily all just buy the one track for that again and keep it up there :S

Surprises about this tbh, it's only 29 in the iTunes chart and I would've thought that's a big part of the market

definitely shocked about how low it placed on iTunes all week long. really can't remember how high The Roller got on iTunes but i'm positive the very week the single was released in the UK, Dangirbird Records(their U.S. label) was offering a free download of the song on their website so...
Most of us were sure Noel would do better in the charts than BDI, and he might still end up doing just that, only not to the degree some of us expected.

I believe that Noel's peak was 17. Digital downloads don't apply really to BDI and Noel. They apply to other artists. But Noel and Liam are old school artists with old school fans who still buy physical copies. When people were saying that Noel would chart higher than BDI, they weren't basing that opinion on Itunes. They basing it on the fact that Noel is selling a physical copy and would not have a staggered release date, unlike BDI. Who had a staggered release date and didn't sell physical copies. Beady Eye in the end charted at #31 Noel will probably chart between 12-14 I call that significantly better than Beady Eye.

Beady Eye in the end charted at #31 Noel will probably chart between 12-14 I call that significantly better than Beady Eye. I would like to add that another reason that I thought Noel would chart better than BDI is because the level of promotion done would be significantly higher which it has been. I read through that old mid week chart The Roller thread. I'd forgotten how baffled we were about the lack of promotion they had done. And every subsequent single has received even less promo and the charts reflect that. Noel has had at least one interview air on radio or appear in print every day or two for the past couple weeks. And the album is still a month and a half away. It isn't outlandish IMO to think that the next single will chart @ around the same level as this. It could possibly be higher. (knock on wood) After all that single will benefit from the additional promo that that will drummed up for the album in the same way that The Roller benefitted from album promo.

Also I think Noels material is considerably better and the record company knows it's worth promoting...

Whatever the chart position, Beady Eye are nothing compared to Noel, and I can confidently say his album will destroy Beady Eye's.
