Strange, i was expecting this exact type of response from you, and i agree with what you say apart from Katy Perry, Jessie J, and Rihanna, all generic shite but of course that is just my opinion I'm not sure what you mean by 'expecting' me to post that. But thanks? People are very quick to dismiss pop music and the like as shit around here. It should be taken as it is.....a pop song is meant to sound nice and get people dancing or happy etc... They are not trying to change the world. I dont know why i was expecting it but wasnt meant in a bad way, maybe i knew you had that outlook on pop or something Anyway, i kind of fall in around the middle of what you said, i am guilty of thinking most pop on the radio these days is garbage, the worst offender for me is the david guetta / pitbull type songs that now have this distinctive formula of saying their name / producers name 10 seconds into the song, the song must have the words swag or swagger, and the worst of all is the words "floor" or "dancefloor" which is practically in every song on radio 1 at the moment. Maybe Noel should try it, imagine RM with Noel saying in a deep manc accent 10 seconds into the song "Noel Gallagher, Dave Sardy....lets go!" On the other hand im not too bad in that i can really appreciate the likes of adele etc, i would like to have a more open mind but i feel that the majority of pop acts have no soul and dont care to be original anymore

If noel gets to number 1 then i'll disagree about chart music being shit.
