I was quite suprised this song didn't feature in the titles when the track list released. Do you think the lyrics might have been reworked and its now called something else or maybe feature as a bside. Surely one of his best songs would get a look in somewhere? Any thoughts?

I don't think he'll use it, it's the kind of song he doesn't want to write anymore. Unfortunatly.

Agree that it's one of his best unreleased tunes.

Maybe he has realized it's too good to throw it away and we'll get it as a b-side.

Noel is due to release 30-odd tracks over the year so it's not out of the question it'll be a future b-side or on the next record. But the longer it goes on, the less chance it has of being released. Not sure if it will be retitled either, not much evidence of that happening with Noel songs IIRC, bar maybe Lyla.

that's the kind of song noel could write all the time. it's a good song, but it's nothing special. i think he's tired of writing songs like that. i guess the only songs which are in this category on the album are record machine and stop the clocks.
hopefully he'll throw it out as a b-side, but i wouldn't mind if he's not

It's ok, it shouldn't be anywhere near Noel's first ever solo album though. Maybe a B-side on the 3rd or 4th single or something.

Do any of you lot think it could be "The Good Rebel?" It wouldn't be too far-fetched really, judging from the lyrical content from the old demo.

I think this song should be nothing more than a b-side. It's okay, but it gets on my nerves a bit. Noel doesn't seem to think too highly of it either, because it was written during his really mopey days.

I was waiting for this and almost posted it myself for the lulz (which there would be none of). All we need now is someone to suggest "The Good Rebel" may be a Noel rip-off of "Show Me Your Love". Someone's gonna do it.

this song has aged so poorly imo. it just comes off to me as over the top anthem.. a bit cheesy. i think noels moved on from this one

Produced differently i wouldnt mind the song to be a bside really, it's a strong tune and would place Noel at a high level of credibility by putting out good songs on bsides.

I always kinda liked this tune. "There's a million houses in my heart" was a line I really related to. I doubt it'll ever see the light of day or re-recorded now though.

It's a fantastic song, but I don't see Noel ever returning to it. Sadly.

Meh, I've had the songs for years now. I'm tired of it and Noel has spoken badly of it in the past.

Noel revisited it in 2009. True story.
(Which rules it out as being The Good Rebel)

At the Zanzibar gig, right before STC, he says something about the title and then says 'but it's shit anyway'.

It would be a good b-side for him at least.

UUUUUUGH, song isn't even good. Flashbax is better, and that has a f***in x on the end of it so you know it's not a great song.

It's good, but nothing better than the tens of similarly paced mid-Noel period. Record Machine is twice the quality. Really looking forward to that one!
