I don't care about Oasis anymore. Long live Noel Gallagher. i am looking forward to Noel's album, maybe less so than BDI's but whatever. BDI's was much more up in the air. i expet Noel's to have some really, really good, complete songs, unlike BDI. sorry if that's sounds repetitive, i hardly ever venture into the Oasis/BDI/Flying Birds sections of this forum. p.s. sorry for the grammatical errors. You're off base here lgfaver. GDForever never said that Andy Bell was the reason for the break up. I've read all her posts, and she did not say that Andy Bell was the reasom for the breakup. She did say that Andy should have stepped in. And she said that that incident showed a bit of his character. In what way did she use the exact line "Andy Bell was the reason that Oasis broke up"? She hasn't. Look right now. You can't find that quote anywhere. She stuck by what she did say of Andy. That he should have stepped in and that he has a lack of character. So to say that she threw the first stone and is hiding her hand, is ignoring what she actually has said. |

The band spitted only because of one thing. Conflict of interests. We might never know what it might happen there but I belive that Noel gave a lot of it(maybe twisted to benefit himself, but we will never know). Oasis are over Live4ever BDI and HFB. Pd. first of all, let's not exaggerate here, Spaneli is not the same type of member gdforever is.
Spaneli might not like Beady Eye and be critical but he's not irrational about it. he backs up what he says and though i often disagree with him, i respect his opinion. I've said this several times in the past.
GdForever on the other hand... lol well... it has now been brought to light just exactly what she is, a fangirl, an apologist, and not a true Oasis fan, rather a Noel Gallagher fan.
And if i made a mistake in saying she posted something she didn't i apologize, i have no problem doing that. Again, my apologies to gdforever(don't think she'll care either way but there you go).
Still it's more than clear that she has taken sides and that's fine. Just don't pretend otherwise.

I've said this elsewhere but I don't think Noel's being too fair on Andy. No-one in their right mind would try to come between Liam and Noel in a fight, and besides when Andy and Gem joined, they both knew that they joined as expendable musicians on base wages and that Liam and Noel were the ones with power. Andy intervening between Liam and Noel is like you intervening between two of your bosses - you don't want to make it worse or screw things up for yourself by either of them. But Noel was right to go against the whole Pretty Green advertising in the Oasis tour programme thing. Why should Liam be able to dangle his clothes in front of fans and make money from fans who came primarily for songs that NOEL wrote - although Liam started Oasis, it was always more Noel's band than his. Noel would've felt that Liam was trying to exploit Oasis fans for personal gain and rightly so. Liam should have kept the thing as a side project the whole time. Nevertheless I'm still glad Oasis broke up, it was the best thing for everyone and the band was past it's use by date. Now they can both flower into their own selves without conflict  Couldn't have put it better myself. |

Noel not letting Liam advertise Pretty Green in the Oasis tour programme is fucking pathetic and petty "I didn't want him selling his clobber to Oasis fans" - well who else was going to buy Pretty Green clothes Noel???
Ahh but Noel singing Oasis songs with his new band is alright?? So Liam can't sell clothes to Oasis fans but Noel can sell High Flying Birds album, tour etc.... through playing Oasis songs at the gigs??

Noel said in the PC in hindsight they'd have finished the tour, done their seperate things (which is Noel speak for my solo album) and Oasis would have carried on, he seemed put out (at Andy and Liam) that they have all got on with it without him, started a new band and aren't at his beck and call anymore.
It's pretty obvious Andy and Liam are driving BE through the interviews, style of songs, artwork etc...
Noel wanted an Oasis album and tour every 4 years, solo albums inbetween and seems bitter that the others spoilt his plans

Did you really just try to equate advertising Pretty Green, an individual's capitalistic venture, in a inclusive group's promo with playing songs crafted by an individual to be sung at his own solo shows? Make some sense, boy. As I said elsewhere, Noel never said Liam couldn't advertise. He was allowed to, as long as it was treated like any other advertisement. Seems fair. I don't think wildly swinging a guitar around the place because you didn't like what you heard is a justifiable or grown up way to act. Noel was acting like a businessman looking out for the best interest of the band as a profit making entity, and Liam as a petulant child upset that he didn't get his own way. |
