Interesting. Gordon Smart does legitimately have an acquaintance w/ Noel so it's always so hard to tell the fact from the fiction.
Hope it's true because that Noel is getting his ducks in a row for announcements.

So many rumours flying around the past few months. Surely an announcement is imminent. Fingers crossed. This is shaping up to be a great year for music from the big names.

It keeps seeming like something is gonna be done for the late summer. I think the recent Q interview with BDI, had a small note about Q expecting Noel to be releasing something in the summer.

Wow! A large shread of truth from Sun. lol Well, hopefully they are right about Noel Gallagher getting the domain name. I wanna say that they're not making it up, just because its too random of a story to make up.
If they've made it up, then the Sun has gotten really creative. lol

Haha nice article. Probably 90% of it is made up, but maybe the fact that he is going to launch a website is true?

I guess still Oasisinet will continue to post news about Noel as well as a official website for Noel.
On a second note, will Noel call his band anything, or will he just go with Noel Gallagher, and the members of his band will simply be his backing musicians?

^Noel Gallagher and the Sand Band?
Anyway, great news. This could mean we will hear something soon, music wise.

I doubt that his backing band will be official members or anything.

^Noel Gallagher and the Sand Band? Only the singer/guitarist has confirmed being involved in Noel's project.

Anyone on hear who hates blur is just trying to pretend to be a 'true' Oasis fan. Blur were just as good as Oasis, they just didn't have the universal appeal that Oasis had.

I don't think Blur were as good as Oasis but I agree that people are overstating it to say they are shit.
Even Noel doesn't say their music sucked...just that Damon was a dick...which I could see. But a talented dick without a doubt.

Tbh i've always liked Blur and irrespective of their persona, they did produce some good music.

^^I'm 20, and totally love Blur. They were a pretty damn good band. I guess everyone has their opinions, but I think to call Blur a bad band is a pretty poor opinion.
I'm just barely more of an Oasis fan, but Park Life and Modern Life Is Rubbish are masterpieces in my book.

Maybe I should have been around when Blur were at their peak to get them. Still, if I compare them to Oasis, I can't understand how anybody could really think they are just as good - neither the sound nor the quality of the songs is on the same level (if there are any Blur songs that are similar to Oasis, please tell me). And while it's probably an exaggeration to call them shit (for which I apologize), I still believe that both Noel and BDI will be better than Blur.
Just listened to a few Blur songs again and I have to say some of their stuff is good (Beetlebum, Song 2), but many of their hits are plain boring (Country House, Girls&Boys). I still think it's weird that they were even compared to Oasis, they don't make the same kind of music. Which is probably why Oasis fans disagree about them.
Now let's stop that discussion about Blur. We can talk about them elsewhere.

Listen to: Coffee and Tv and This is a Low Classics, up there with anything Oasis have done, but I agree Oasis are a better band overall.

supersonic26, BDI is no where near Blur. If it ever got to Blur's talent level I'd be happily amazed.

I'm just hoping BDI will be better. Listen to: Coffee and Tv and This is a Low Classics, up there with anything Oasis have done, but I agree Oasis are a better band overall. Thanks, these are really good
