I strongly believe that Liam Gallagher and Andy Bell could have been the finest songwriters of our generation; it's not hyperbole, it's the truth. If you listen to Beady Eye's album, their lyrical strength belies the shit Noel said was their best work in Oasis.
It's obvious why Noel wanted to put out their weaker stuff - he knew his 'talent' would pale into comparison. Andy had been writing excellent stuff for Ride years before Noel picked up his pencil, so it was futile from RKid to deny our shoegazer his moment of fame. But Noel, the manipulative despot, knew how to stop people doing things he did not like. Ergo, the talent of Liam and Andy has been wasted.
You could say it's not too late, but they aren't spring chickens anymore. They have children, so it's more difficult to write classics like "Evil Eye" "I strongly believe that Liam Gallagher and Andy Bell could have been the finest songwriters of our generation; it's not hyperbole, it's the truth. In conclusion, Noel was jealous of the duo's songwriting superiority. And he hid it in a way only Noel would do. He refused to put their songs on the album.

Just out of interest, has anyone heard the hidden track on DGSS? If you fast-forward at the start of "Standing on the Edge of the Noise" for approximately three minutes and fifty-three seconds, spit on the floor three times, and then kick a football at your CD player, you'll be able to hear an exclusive interview and session with Tony McCarroll. I managed to listen to it, and he plays his favourite hardcore techno songs with vocals from Bonehead, reveals in a documentary that he asked Noel to call the final Oasis album "Dig Out Your Prayer Mat", and that he plays a "sexy triangle solo" on Wigwam.
It's absolutely fantastic.

They have children, so it's more difficult to write classics like "Evil Eye", "Show Me Your Love", "This Is My Key", "Bread and Wine", "Mosquito" etc. I'd say that it's rather easy to write a classic like a song that doesn't exist. Just sit and do nothing. I've just written five.

You're right mate.
They're probably better than Lennon, McCartney, Dylan, Jagger, Richards and Wilson combined.

In the meantime, I'm going to listen to Bonehead do a bongo solo for Beady Eye's 2nd album... BONGA-WONGA-BONGA-WONGA-BUM-BUM-BUM-BONGA-WONGA!

At least better threads are imminent. Yeah, I was thinking of making a thread on how the Definitely Maybe demos are gathering dust in my attic. I'm not sure if I've recalled the party around BigUn's house, when I gave Tony McCarroll a potentially lethal concoction of laxatives, cider, vodka and curry powder and forced him to give me the demos in exchange for a key to the bathroom. Good story, eh?

If there is something wrong or poor in the album, they are the lyrics. What an idiot comparison this about Lennon and Mc... what an idiot thinking about Noel. He is only an angry grandpa, that's all. Liam is an amateur composer... Andy do his thing. The End.
