Of course every single fan, die hard or not, will be pleased.
But how will this go over with other rock fans? With the music press?
Noel's done this often now, so surely it's starting to get embarassing? Will he lose credibility after doing this? Will it add to publicity? Or will it simply make no difference?
Regardless, I want Oasis with Noel back, and don't give a fuck if more press are against the band after this one hundredth break up.

Every fan will be pleased will they? I for one won't be pleased. I'm glad he's left, he should have done it 5 years ago. Oasis are finished as a creative force. Noel needs to leave all the Oasis baggage behind and go do some of his own stuff.

Yeah, I wont be entirely pleased, What will truly shatter me is if Noel declares he will never release any more music. I can live without oasis as a band, my favourite songs of DOYS were the noel sung ones anyway (WFTR & FD). I will miss Oasis but im actually far more excited about the prospect of a Noel solo album than about a new Oasis album. Doesnt mean im not a hardcore fan if thats what youll immediatly jump to thinking. Because I am. But Noel solo is far more exciting and potentially far far better (imo) than anything oasis look like bringing out.

Can't help but feel that liam trying to make up with noel with andy in tow is, in a way, dragging noel's dead dog in a lead and going "look at the poor dog...you like him so much...you worked so much for him...and he will be so hurt if you leave him, and we won't bury him...he's also our dog!"... rationally speaking if noel rejoins oasis or oasis without noel will pretty much be this dead dog... We know Noel's fed up, they try to make it work for the kids, but it's empty...I mean, it wasn't empy until he left but it will be empty if he rejoins after making a statement like the one on inet...
And their mother interference within the band is just soooo silly...They won'cease to be brothers because they're not in a band together and pobably it might even do them some good...
Noel soolo now is the only reasonable and the only way out with some decency...the best thing they could do is let him go...Turn out the lights, respect the fans....

I'm more excited about a Noel solo record and a record full of songs written by Liam, Andy and Gem. I've thought Andy's songs are the best of the last 3 records/singles anyways. I do wonder if Noel went on a solo tour if he would ask Gem to play or not. They seemed to me like they were tight the way Liam and Andy are.
I'd be happy for them to get back together afterwards if they want but the is something altogether new and exciting if you ask me.

Time heals everything... That would definetely happen if Noel came back right now...and I don't think it will be that soon. In a few years, after solo record he'll come back,for sure. And no one will care about press are against the band, because it will be the great come back!
