So there you have it. Good to hear, but at some point you'd think that Liam and Noel are going to have to talk about it. Who's going to break the silence first? Or will they both puss out and send messages to each other over Twitter/Oasisnet or back and forth through their management company?

that says that at the end of the tour they will begin to think about the next album and tour. It doesnt necessarily mean either of those will happen.

not too bothered. either way i'm sure there's slim to no chance of a split; they'll release another 7/10 record in 3 years and then the tour will be decent.

Of course they're not splitting.
But to play devils advocate (and for some to play the 'NL4E is over analyzing again' card), they wouldn't exactly announce it now even if they were planning on splitting, would they? They would say exactly what they did so they wouldn't get swamped by the media on their last few gigs ever nor would they want that attention when they're about to go back to their families and holiday. Rather, they'd play it down now, and announce months/year(s) from now.
But back to reality and away from my ridiculous assumptions - never did I doubt they would split up now. Also, whenever they do call it a day I expect them to at least play 1 major gig as a one off for the fans - how irritating would it be if Oasis called it a day now so unexpectedly? Would be pretty unfair and harsh on the hardcore fans who followed them since their inception. Oasis are better than that.

Probably play 4 nights at Knebworth or something. Easily sell it out if it was stand alone and their final gigs.

Where there's smoke there's fire I always say....At this point I don't know what to think. Noel and Liam aren't getting on. FACT. When you're ridding on different tour buses, different hotels etc etc shit must be pretty bad. Now, they are both grown ass men and have come to fully understand how the game works. And the bottom line for the pair of them is; (even MORE)Financial Security. So even if their hearts aren't in it anymore, money AND FAME make you go on for the sake of it. I mean Noels been a "public figure" for almost half his life. You get used to all the perks that comes with fame. It seems as if he wants to stay in the publics eye and Liam seems quite over it, to some extent.... When the daily rags start getting quotes from "sister in laws" thems are bad signs......From what people have said about the V fest the previous night, Liam's voice sounded fine. Paris is up next come Friday....TBC

Been an oasis fan since 06 so I've only seen them on this tour. Wanna see 'em a lot more times before they call it a day.

I think their touring days may be over. I think they'll do what the Beatles did and become a studio band.

I think their touring days may be over. I think they'll do what the Beatles did and become a studio band. I thought just the opposite. Since nobody is selling records anymore, unless you fall over dead, I figured Oasis would become like The Rolling Stones and become nothing more than a big Stadium touring band. Whatever the future holds, I'm greatly saddened as I never got to see them play live. My wife and I had planned on flying half-way round the world to see them at one of the festivals next summer, if they headlined any of them after their tour was over. Noel's statement read, "It is with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight". That leads me to believe that Noel has been thinking about this for quite some time. Its too bad they never got a farewell tour, but in all honesty, most bands don't get one. Most of them end up just like this one.

yeah well, Noel's left....but I reckon he'll be back. Theyve both done this before with worse arguments than "had enough" of each other.
Give it a few months.
And I'll be happy to wait for an album to come out in 5 years time knowing theyre still together.

i think it's probably not over. and if it is, i'm not too devastated. even if they weren't splitting, we were still due for a noel solo record and a good 3+ years before the next album. their recent records have been good in my opinion, but in reality really nothing too outstanding. what i'll miss are the tours -- i still love them as a live band. they were on their best form in years at the end of this tour.

I think he'd like a life like Paul Weller's, where he isn't obligated to anyone else and can put out the music that he wants to and not have to put up with the BS on tour. I don't expect Noel to return for a while, if ever. I personally want to see what Noel can do on his own, and unless its a massive failure, I don't see him returning to the Oasis fray for a long time. I think Liam will try to carry the band on, perhaps release another record, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Noel was done with Oasis until the inevitable reunion 10 years down the line.
