One more thing to add; I've always thought Be Here Now sounded like an early version of The Hindu Times with the way the melody is. I guess that's kind of the cool thing about his songwriting is how he can use a similar melody from a song from the past and throw in some different chords, so that way it still sounds somewhat fresh and unique. Some say it may be generic and lazy, but he changes it up a bit whenever he does reuse a similar melody , and that sets him apart from others imo. I'll be honest, I would've never noticed that Noel reused many riffs and chords in other songs had I not been a member of this forum. Clearly you never came across that madhead Oasis Blues on any other music sites or YouTube videos, although in fairness he was usually screaming about Noel stealing from The Real People and proclaiming Liam a God- man was undoubtedly a genius and insane, a star could've been born if only to replace Jerry Sadowitz

Don't know if someone said this before but:

Anyone here hoard Melody Maker magazines? In Noel's 1994 notebook (not the 1993 one on Mr Monobrow's Site) Bonhams mentions that Noel wrote about some of his favourite songs under the title of 'Rebbelius Jukebox' (sic) including Ticket to Ride, Snap!, Diamond Dogs, Heroes, Anyway Anyhow Anywhere, I Can See For Miles, amongst others. Now 'Rebellious Jukebox' is the name of a feature run in the Melody Maker in which famous musicians talk about their favourite songs ( September 1994 Example) and a quick look online reveals that Noel did indeed do one for the 17th September 1994 addition. I'm gonna hazard a guess that this is almost certainly Noel's draft for the aforementioned article. Here's the addition it's in: Lend me 75p and a time machine and I'll go check...

Forget about the time machine: Noel Gallagher of OASIS picks the songs that shake his maker: 1. The Beatles: "The Red Album/White Album" 2. The Jam: "Snap" 3. The Sex Pistols: "Never Mind The Bolloks" 4. The Who: "I Can See For Miles/Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" 5. Burt Bacharach:"This guy´s in love with you" 6. Bee Gees: "To Love Somebody" 7. The Smiths: "How Soon Is Now" 8. The Stone Roses: "She Bangs The Drums" / The La's: "There She Goes" 9. Neil Young And Crazy Horse: "Weld" (??) 10. The Kinks: "Greatest Hits" 11. Blondie: "Hanging In The Telephone" 12. The Small Faces: "Greatest Hits" / The Faces: "Stay With Me"

Hey, top find! I couldn't see it anywhere! I guess you can keep your 75p. Looks like 3 out of the 4 made it (in order too) and Bowie never made the final cut. Bar the odd word it's a tricky read being as blurred as it is, so it's hard to compare. It looks like there have definitely been some edits, naturally, but I'd stand by it being a solid match. Just out of interest where did you find it??

Just out of interest where did you find it?? There's no doubt the notes were for this magazine as you thought, good find to you! How I found it?: Google and its great image search engine. Do you know that you can drag an image to the search image bar an it will search for it and images alike in their database? Also in Chrome you can right click an image and select "Search Google for this image". From there and some training (and luck) you find what you was looking for! I arrived to this site: www.etsy.com/listing/226121798/vintage-1994-brit-pop-newspaper-melodyAnd by luck clicked to see the next photo. By the way. If someone in the US wants to buy and scan it, it would be great!

In the last chorus of Don't Look Back In Anger, there's a guitar that's playing the melody of 'All The Young Dudes'. I just noticed this now when listening to the instrumental version.

On Roll it Over, I absolutely love the drums on the intro, and really, the drums all the way through. To me, I've noticed it has a bit of a jazz flavor to it, and is one of Whitey's best performances. i love this song and personally i thought it has a pink floyd feel to it especially the guitar solo in the middle and the female backiin vocals

According to this LINK at ebooklibrary:- "The album's artwork features the photo of New York skyline taken from the rooftop of the Go Let It Out" can be seen above one of the buildings at the front, which depicts five men playing football. This shot was taken from the roof of a football stadium, and the footballers from the car park were edited onto the rooftop on the final cover." Which tallies with what I remember of the artwork. There's also a piece on Paul Weller news blogspot with Simon Halfon where he briefly talks about how he got involved with Oasis, and how cover photographer Andrew McPherson photographed the same shot 36 times in 18 hours before digitally editing the cover artwork- PW Blogspot

Nothing sensational..but noticed few months that Noel is featured on The Stuttering Foundation of America, as a good example of people who overcame stuttering and became successful. I think that's pretty cool
