Bought the CD today. You feel the atmosphere of history when you go to a store to buy a new Rolling Stones album on the day of its release.

Its a fucking decent record. I won't let go of my belief that Mick Jagger has been replaced by an android. How the fuck does he still sound like.

The album is getting good reviews, which is great for a rock band so old and with a bunch of 80 years old bandmembers.

Yep..it's insanely good vocally Even with all that rock and roll lifestyle excess Mick always took care of his voice, very professional, imo he is the best singer out of those 60's british invasion bands, and he's been ever since, none of their peers come close, he could from rawer grittier vocals to falsetto in a blink of an eye like on Worried About You and Fool To Cry. Just take a look at this, it's hard to believe it's an 80 years old singing it, unbeliavable.

Daltrey isn't far behind in that respect. Watched his solo show last year. Brilliant and with such a strong voice.

Depending On You and Sweet Sounds Of Heaven are two of the best songs I've heard all year.

Today It's the new one. Ask me tomorrow, it might be Goats Head Soup or maybe 10 others.
Been playing it straight through, which is rare nowadays. Didn't like Bigger Bang too much. This one shines. That live Heaven posted above has mind blowing energy and soul.
Really like Get Close. Playing this one some extra times. When the sax comes in, it's like Bobby Keys never left us.

I think the first 5 songs are really good! The rest are alright.

I've listened to the new album twice, and I think it's pretty good. The fact that they tried to keep it under 50 minutes really helps, as it feels less bloated than Bridges to Babylon or a Bigger Bang. And there does not seem to be a clunker on the new album.
