Thanks for that.
just one question though - what are the numbers like:
7,072 / 8,107
supposed to represent?
is that tickets sold out of total possible tickets, or attendance out of total tickets sold?

actual attendance of the show out of capacity of the venue, for example 7,072 people were at the concert out of the 8,107 seats the venue had, so 1,035 seats in the venue were empty

Hmm, definitely not the half empty gigs that so many reviews seemed to mention, at least going off these numbers.

Don't think im being rude, but i thought the USA venue's had a larger capacity than that. Apart from the LA Staples Center it looks like the average capacity is roughly 8000?
I thought the capacity at the Chicago All State Arena was 20'000?
Anyway i suppose Oasis can say they almost sold out each date.

I thought the capacity at the Chicago All State Arena was 20'000? and that would be correct, all the "major" sports arenas in each town has about 20000 seats and that's without the "floor seats" that are made available for music concerts/conventions, WHY? because each town or most towns have a major league sports team, be it nba or nhl. the thing with the Oasis tour though is that other than Minnesotta, L.A. Detroit and NYC they didn't play the big venues, they chose smaller ones maybe because they thought they could sell them out.

Arenas often cover up or curtain off the entire upper level. So in bigger Arenas, say the Palace in Detroit, over 10,000 seats (the entire upper bowl) were unavailable to buy and were curtained off. The London numbers are the actual capacity, it is a smaller arena.

fear not - the 9 stadium shows this summer will probably generate 40 million (600,000 tix sold x $67 US)

The London numbers are the actual capacity, it is a smaller arena. The Garden had all levels open and only had the seats directly behind the stage closed ... but I'm sure the seats on the floor more than made up for those lost seats

the numbers for the John Labatt Centre are just about right. The place holds about 8000-9000 for concerts depending on how many tickets they put out and the layout. When they play Toronto they usually get about 20000 into the ACC

thought the staples centre looked more full than what the amount they say on here.plus if people are worried by this they should take a look at coldplays sales, half there gigs are half full.
