From one Davey to another... I'm disappointed to say that I agree about TSOL going nowhere. The song ain't got no chorus. Was waiting for one of Noel's big fuck-off key-changing epic, bludgeoning choruses, but after the "it's all in my mind"'s seemingly pre-chorus refrain, I found myself back at the second verse and I was left rather deflated I must say. I disagree about Liam's voice deteriorating (in the studio anyhow), live we'll find out soon enough if he's still sounds like he's gargling Listerine for the duration of the set. I listened to HC the other day and I almost laughed out loud when Liam's voice came in on Hindu Times. He was pushing way too hard around then, the prime examples being that, Hung In A Bad Place, and Scorpio Rising, the Death In Vegas song. (it was a pretty sparse recording compared to Oasis, sonically his voice sounds amazing, and I think it was an amazing performance but he was certainly pushing his throat too far). He was edging way too close to being an overly raspy, older caricature of the 21 year-old who sung Definitely Maybe. I think his enunciation on TSOL is clear, forceful but not too exaggerated and he isn't pushing his throat too hard. Methinks Sardy has guided him with this. Davy, 'Tis a true measure of your unbridled enthusiasm for Oasis when you say that Falling Down makes you want to "cum"! I hate being bitchy about one of my favourite bands, but honest, I got it out of my system now. I got nothing but love for this band and high hopes for the rest of Dig Out Your Soul. Soldier On sounds like it may consist solely of a relentless chorus repeated over and over, ala Supergrass' "In It For The Money" (fine by me!), and I can't wait for High Horse Lady, sounds like it's gonna be fruity as all hell. But I don't get folks on this board rating DOYS songs out of 10 based on vague hearsay and descriptions of what folks have heard thus far. Another month or so and judgements can be shared. We'll all be familiar with the record and, damn, it'll begin the 4 year wait til the next one....or however long it takes for us all to to see them in our respective corners of the globe over the next year!! Exciting times ahead folks. Hi! So, I'm a big belgian Oasis-fan for like 10 years now. I like almost all of their music. Except for most of SOTSOG. I remember 3 years ago, when DBTT came out I was looking forward to its release, bought it the day it came out and loved the whole fuckin' album. But something got my attention! Liam's Voice was getting a bit tired. Now you guys probably have noticed that his voice has changed over the years. It never really bothered me, I just noticed it. Noel voice on the other hand keeps getting better and better. So I've taken a listen to the two tracks that I could find from their upcoming album (as a kind of preview). As you all know: The Shock Of The Lightening and Falling Down. What are my conclusions? Well, TSOTL reminds me of things like 'Go Let It Out'. Bad lyrics, bad song. It starts of nice, but it never reaches anything from there on. But appart from that, the thing that bugged me the most was Liam's sneer. It's getting to hard. His voice will not be able to tackle stuff like Slide Away, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall or Supersonic anymore. His voice was allready on some edge last tour, but I fear the worst this time around. Falling Down on the other hand makes me wanna cum. Shit, what a great song! Hands down, I've got nothing more to say. Now, does anybody share my fear? What if the whole album sounds like that? You are not going to tell me that's going to be an easy listen! Or easy to take after such a great discography, for that matter? Please, everybody, tell me I'm wrong. Tell me it's just me. Davy.

I felt the same way at first. The 2nd verse came in and I was like, Thats the chorus? However the verse is mega and the chorus grew on me real fast. I love the song, its up there for me
