I know we all say "Mad Fer It" all the time, but i just got to thinking, who started it and where did it come from? Liam? Noel?

Liam probably said it once and a comedian probably said it 100 times

Yeah - well, believe it or not, that's not a common phrase 'oop Norf'. And - while we're at it - we don't all live in terraced houses, roll rusty bike wheels down cobbled streets, and eat nothing but meat and potato pies for us teas.
Alreet?

Liam definitely started it...he says it during their first ever tv interview and I've heard Noel on more than one occasion saddle him with starting it off.

In the 1997, in an interview, Liam said "I'm mad for it!" about rock'n'roll. From there, he was started every gig with these words for all the Be here now Tour. In Manchester, the pronunciation is "fer", not "for", so... mad fEr it. Later, "Mad For It" (or "fer"... it's the same) became the name of Oasis fans. I'm mad fer it!
