It is so much better...I compare them as they are both Chill Coldplay radio friendly tunes. But Falling down also sounds a little like Who Feels Love....

I don't think it is better. At least for me it's not.

This is an understatement. Weight of the World is lightweight fodder. Its not horrible, but Falling Down is great in comparison.

I agree, FD is a far better song. I have always thought WPTWOTWOMS was an average ballad tarted up with string sections.

i don't understand why in hell are comparing those two songs... WPTWOTWOMS is a beautiful song based on a slow chorus and an amazing orchestra.... FD it's a song with a different beat, great drumming, awesome lyrics and a Tomorrow Never Knows psychedelic feeling.... I guess if I had to choose one I'd go with FD but I still think it's a really odd comparison to be made

The more and more I listen to falling down the better it becomes. TSOTL is brilliant but falling down is amazing - much better than any noel sung song since DLBIA. If the stop the clocks album was released now falling down would be on it

Do you think Falling Down might be the third single?

I don't see the similarites between Falling Down and Coldplay yet everyone says that. Am I missing something?

no, just NO.... who put the weight of the world on my shoulders is a masterpiece and should have been included on this album just for the heck of it.

Sorry to change the subject, but since Who Put the Weight of the World On My Shoulders is on the goal soundtrack does anyone have a link to the morning glory remix?

I don't see the similarites between Falling Down and Coldplay yet everyone says that. Am I missing something? Well, I can only assume it's because the lyrics to Falling Down are unusually pessimistic for Noel, and the people who post on here are that stupid that they think Coldplay are nothing but a bunch of depressive misery-peddlers.

I've been discussing with a friend about how Coldplay got worse since X&Y... they use too much keyboards and organs to give a feeling of epic which doesn't work very well for me, I believe that's why I didn't enjoy both of the latest Coldplay records... anyway, this friend of mine said that about FD, and I couldn't disagree more, cos' Fallng Down is absolutely amazing, but it's a fact that I miss that raw sound with more guitars...

but it's a fact that I miss that raw sound with more guitars... You can listen to DM if you miss that sound. Bands need to move on. Oasis is (apparently) moving on after quite some time. I am very happy about that. Anyway, the new record has been said to be raw too, so I don't know. And yes. FD is waaaaay better than WPTWOTWOMS. And is probably the most interesting track they've recorded since SOTSOG. I like TSOTL but FD is a whole different league
