4.5/5 or 5/5 for me....leaning towards the full 5 though
It's perfect length, the outro is perfect, the lyrics are good - we knew that though already, the vocals are good. has a good vibe.
instant hit.
not as sing-songy as wonderwall, of course, but should bring the same level of success imo.
Well done Noel!

i find this recording average. great song, it could be so much better. if it was arranged more like "a bell will ring," with backwards guitar and the likes of that, it would be an instant classic.

3/5 for this version
10^55744 / 5 for the song
I'm curious how they're gonna put it on the album. They can either put electric guitars on the song, or make it dreamy like Idler's dream (which could be awesome too) ;D

Old demo so it's prob different now The song has potential for sure but this version is a little boring IMO It gets better towards the end though

I was in school all day today reading the great reactions and couldnt wait to get home, I wasnt disappointed. I will admit I did expect more of sing-a-long-y element but its still a work of genius, I've been listening all night and it gets better each time, and that finish...whoa...it took me away, its the ultimate climax, I hope the final version is revamped so it isn't so quiet during the build up, i.e. an orchestrated element and louder vox, although it may not be the best version I'd love to hear the Liam version that Noel has confirmed exists (according to wiki dont shoot me!) but all in all its brilliant, I gave it 4 as it has the potential to be a classic.

You're kidding yourself mate - I like STC but it's not a 5 star classic and it will in no way be as big a hit as Wonderwall. It hasn't got that immediacy that hit singles generally require (see the Who Feels Love? underperformance in the charts). It may well be a single, but it will be a hit the same way most Oasis songs are a hit - we the fanbase go out and buy it the first week, then things rapidly tail off. Wonderwall level of success? Let's quit dreaming.

I dig it, but it is hardly Champagne Supernova. Anyone who said this is the greatest Oasis song ever obviously has not listened to anything off the first three records in the recent past. There is no doubt it is good, but could it have ever lived up to the hype?

It will be interesting to see what they've done with it. I'm sure they'll have worked on it and it'll be much improved. The bones of a good song are there imho. Love the end

if the whole song was like the outro it would be a great song, but it's crap. and the live version is even worse with those bongos

This song (in it's current form) is more like music you can appreciate for being good, rather than music that just blows you away. I still love it, but hopefully the album version will be more 'immediate', and possibly electric throughout- as loungepop suggested...

I thought we were talking about the album, not the song, so I accidentally voted 4. The song is eminently 5 stars.

The album version is crap but the demo is ok. So I voted 3/5.
