great But, normally they start the tour in Europe, don't they? Does that mean that there'll be European gigs as soon as early August?

GM Place in Vancouver is now on Ticketmaster as well. August 27th.

This makes the Seattle rumour look good. That was slated for the 26th. I could easily see L.A., San Fran, Vegas etc being earlier in August.
My hometown is Vancouver, this is fucking awesome. Living in New York, this gives me a great reason to get home.

Kind of disappointing this is all they're announcing right now.
Also they say "their first live show in 2 years... " this seems to confirm there won't be anything preceding Seattle. Kind of strange for them to open up in the US IMHO.

Kind of strange for them to open up in the US IMHO. Less pressure maybe? Still this means nothing before hand... gives me at least some basic to plan my trip:) I am sure they will be back for more! later on the tour

So there's a week and a day between Calgary & Toronto. Chicago & Detroit maybe? Then down to NY, Philly, Washington/Baltimore etc the second week of September.

That's what I'm hoping for. I didn't get tix for Saturdays V Festival show in hopes of a smaller Detroit/Chicago show before.
I imagine more dates will be released for after V Festival. I remember last tour shows were announced in waves which made making travel plans difficult.

I remember last tour shows were announced in waves which made making travel plans difficult. Not that it was a problem for you, Mr. Follow-the-tour-bus I wish they'd go on and list some UK dates, as this goaround I'm not as enthused about picking a bunch of N.A. shows to get to like last time (although I probably still will). I'm wanting to head over to Manc or at least London if they do anything big back home.

Come on man, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton are mint cities. It'll be well worth it and you'll love it. These are big venues they're playing. I dropped a line to one of my contacts at Live nation to get a heads up on any east coast dates. Hopefully I'll hear something. I'm committing now to these though.

I've been saving up to cross the pond for months and I don't want to put myself in the hole before I know what's going on with that. I'll catch up to you on this side of the continent for sure though.

No offense to our N Americans friends...but can't they throw the UK fans a bone??? I agree, no offense to American/Canadian fans but i feel us UK fans deserve to see them first as i am sure they have sold more records here and are much bigger here then over the pond Hometown gigs are the best, Manchester would be perfect in mid summer before these US/Canadian dates If there first gig is 26th Aug then surely the album is out before they start the tour? anyone heard any rumours about any uk festivals oasis may be at?saw the leeds line up its pretty average.....the festivals seem empty without Oasis

Calgary and Edmonton have NEVER seen Oasis...Canada has showed tons of loyalty to Oasis over the years and this is 1st time Oasis is playing 4 Canadian gigs in one tour EVER! So come on, please don't pull the we deserve it more, they are in the paper nearly everyday, Noel is on Russel Brand nearly once a month and you KNOW they will play the UK and play it well.

Agreed. This is a big treat for Oasis fans in the prairies. I've met fans from Edm and Cal in Vegas, Coachella and here on the east coast that have travelled to see Oasis. It's nice to see them get recognized with a show at home. Plus, I wouldn't get to worked up about oasis not having summer shows in the U.K. They may still. These dates are probably being announced early because they'll need a larger window to sell tickets since they're not promoting an album yet and are playing a couple markets they've never touched. It's still 5 months away, plenty of time for U.K. shows to be added. And they'll sell out in a minute.

I think Oasis are really gonna try hard to have a big hit in the US. Why else would they start the tour there? They always start with UK shows. Still, anticipation will be high for the first UK gigs.

Sham of a pre-sale. Nothing good. Looks like the floor may be GA though I had 2 together Row 10 on the floor. Ticketmaster screwed me over and said they couldn't process the order. I was logged in and everything said I had 3:30 to complete my order. Typed my password and they were gone. I am so pissed off. Same thing happend last time for the ACC show in Toronto.

Exactly i'm deserving an Edmonton (my home town) show since I pay a shit load for plane tickets, hotels etc... in the past to see them play. This still feels like a dream for me. I got decent Calgary show tickets but I'm still looking for better Edmonton tickets then I will sell the ones that I bought today. They had really shitty pre-sale tickets up for grabs today.
