hey guys, wish my first post was something more positive, but I guess thats how things are sometimes. An earthquake 7.6 on the Richter scale hit North Pakistan and India killing 30,000 plus in Pakistan and 2,000 in India. here are some links: today.reuters.com/news/NewsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2005-10-10T054456Z_01_MOL817 643_RTRUKOC_0_US-QUAKE-SUBCONTINENT.xml www.arabnews.com/?page=4§ion=0&article=71435&d=10&m=10&y=2005 news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4324534.stm some 400 children were killed when two schools collapsed. for anyone who wishes to make donations: www.huqa.blogspot.com/ before your suspicions are raised, this site was established by a group of Pakistani college students as a kind of college facebook. its been up and running for a few months and those are guys will be flying to affected regions to work with the biggest local emergency agency, EDHI. they're accepting payment via paypal on through their blog site. i give this link priority because money donated will implemented MUCH faster into relief. of course for those who still might doubt its credibility there is always the following: www.rapidsar.org.uk/ www.ifrc.org/helpnow/bank.asp www.unicef.org/ PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD GUYS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CATASTROPHIC. if you guys want to donate medicines, clothes (its a cold region mountainous region), tents, blankets, anything really, please contact me: k_a_s_h@hotmail.com tel# 386-226-7448 (Dorm room telephone number here in FL). My roommate might pick, just leave a msg for me. Thanks, Kashif Ali (aka Guvna-K (op) on the oasisshare DC++Hub and p.s - yes i am from Pakistan.
