at this point in time, do you believe life is random, a "throw of the dice ?" or that there is an ordered Universe or system to life ? discuss your current beliefs.... ~ without banging on, I do believe that things happen for reasons.... but we do control much of our own destiny.... with the exception of some horrible things i.e. people get killed in car accident... and bad things happening to good ppl Go on......

Ya well there is no human thought or emotion that isn't preceded by electrochemical reactions in your brain-- reactions that:
* behave according to the laws of physics
or
* in some cases, behave randomly
So your every thought and emotion are dictated by the laws of physics, and sometimes by randomness-- so not really any room there for controlling your own destiny.

I see what you mean but that is only taking into acct a person;s brain and cognitive skills. what about body-mind and soul connection ? just my opinion . you a psych major or psychiatry ?

Mind-body soul connection?
First of all, if everything you think or feel or do is preceded by the shit going on in your brain, which it is-- then the soul, if it exists-- then what the fuck does the soul do?
If it exists, which it doesn't, then it's the most useless piece of shit ever.

hehe..... it's a fate debate!
personally, there are a lot of things over which we do have choice. But more often than not what happens in our life is not our choosing:

you sound very sarcastic. I'm sorry, I always find it difficult to pick up on things when they're written.

Lyla ! 1.) Oh I can SO relate to this ! yes ! well said ! there are many things that go beyond our 5 senses. it's spiritual. (not in the sense of Amen, hallalujah... NO) going beyond 5 senses - it is also related 2 your "GUT" and intuition. your feelings - the deepest and truest part of you. and JUST knowing somethings in life are true for you or wrong for you. 2.) I am relieved I am NOt the only one that can profess my TRUE feelings when I hear oasis songs ! It takes me there. to that place. and I get goosebumps too ! a bit transcendental .. (no I am not on drugs, I just get a bit high on life. WHEN MY MIND and all is in the right place..) I have a love affair with oasis that I cannot even explain. can't put my finger on it. 1st time I heard live4ever, it unlocked a chain in my heart and mind and even soul ? (the meaning of soul !) ~thanks for this top and oasis related - TESTIMONIAL Be well, Tam
