Hello, i'm new here, but I have done some oasis recordings (not very good, but i enjoy doing it). The problem however is that I have no singing ability whatsoever. Is there anyway that someone would be so kind as to download whichever song u fancy and possibly have a go at adding some vocals for me? If u could then upload the vocals (seperately if possible) the I would be extremely grateful. I would be willing to offer any oasis bootlegs are have that people may want in return. Here they are anyway: Songbird (demo version) Meaning of soul s17.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3HCFHK0M09UKK2289V209QVFK5I would also appreciate any feedback. Many thanks

On The Meaning of Soul the guitar needs to cut down on the distortion. It's not that heavy when they played it live. Its good though, i'd use more of a 'crunch' guitar sound as opposed the the electronic sounding distortion.
I can't play Songbird... my computer isn't seeming to like it

i'll give u some feedback, cos i uploaded some stuff before and no one responded. hate it when that happens. so, i like both, but on songbird, make it sound more like a harmonica than an accordian. other than that, your fine. and on tmos, turn down the distortion a bit. also, try singin with it, and see how it goes.

thanks for the advice.
I know that tmos is overdistorted. i may try and re-do that part. As for the harmonica, there isn't much i can do cos it is actually a harmonica. Also I would sing but i'm rubbish. u cant sing by any chance?
I appreciate the feedback tho. I've been playing for ages, but have only just started recording. They're not as good as other peoples I hear on these forums but I enjoy doing em. Just as long as they aren't completely lame i'm pleased.
i've just ordered two shure sm57 microphones so that I can record my acoustic properly, but I still cant sing which is sooo frustrating. Does any1 know any1 who would be willing to add a vocal line for me, or even know another website where i could ask people?
Thanks

I use sonic foundry acid music for my recording. It is free to download. I've got a crack that I can give you if u need it. Other than that u just use windows sound recorder. I'd be happy/thankful for any help.

Thanks This is not an opinion this is pretty much solid fact: sm57 are crap for miking acoustic guitar. Period. Bye an AKG or large diaphragm shure condensor instead. Here's a solution for your singing problem: PRACTICE! But seriously, you should. I could sing a couple lines but I prefer tsinging like Paul Weller more than Liam.

the best way to sing an oasis tune or anyones tune is not to sing like them but be yourself and make the song your own, sing it in your key.
make....the..song...your....own ;D

Not to worry, thing is that I wanted a versatile mic cos sometimes I will want acoustic recording, but other times I may wanna mic an amp, or record my drum kit. Thanks for the advice anyway.

They sound pretty damn good. Need to turn up the guitar in songbird, though.
