are you the same guy from the Haze who posted before? we've had a couple of threads about your band in the past
i remember posting about them before. Its a good band - musically fine and your songs are ok
but they lack the X factor (to use a popular phrase!)
They're just not songs that grab you by the bollox and demand you listen to them. I dont mean to sound harsh coz i do rate the band and i'd encourage a few more members to check them out. Revolver is the best one in my opinion.
But whether or not you guys can get anywhere with those particular songs - im not so sure. I'd just say lock yourselves in a room for a week and write some more stuff!

BTW you copyright stuff by dating it and sending it to yourself through the post and not opening it when it arrives. its that simple.

I don't see the Liam comparison at all.
Revolver reminds me a lot of Headshrinker tho - the drumming, the way it's arranged, the guitar...
Releasing this would be the equivalent of the Untold Story being Oasis's first record - lots of potential but not there yet.
Still, really cool that you're writting and getting it out there though.
(Other comment: seeing Daysleeper's posts remind me how great of a song Begin the Begin is.)

(Other comment: seeing Daysleeper's posts remind me how great of a song Begin the Begin is.) Such a good tune isnt it. When Stipe is his abstract political mode his lyrics are amazing. So unique. Great song live too. Very powerful

So is "So Fast, So Numb" which I'll ashamedly admit to not having heard before that night - got it now, tho :-) Oh yeah, Oasis....

So have you bought 'New Adventures in Hi-Fi' now? Awesome album. in my REM top 3. No, haven't bought New Adventures yet although it does look like the next one in line (that or Green). But between Perfect Square and the Indy 2004 bootleg, I've got So Fast So Numb covered.
Unquestioned highlights of the Denver show I went to though were Final Straw (the roar that went up when he said "I do believe that I am not alone" was amazing) and I'm Gonna DJ, which was just plain fun.
And for the ObOasis comment: Wake Up Bomb got interpreted as being about Oasis when it was released, this was later refuted by Peter Buck. Still lines about "teaching the world to sing" and "supersonic" look a little suspicious :-)
Anyhow, roll on Hyde Park July 9th!!!!!!!!!

Never heard of that Oasis-Wake up Bomb link before! there are some interesting lines yeah. But then again that song could be interpreted in a few different ways and could be linked to any madly successful/famous band. Green is a great album too. Both albums wouldnt exactly break the bank so i'd say get 'em both as soon as possible! Green and New Adventures are two albums i put off buying for years but once i heard them....wow. Green has three mandolin based melancholy songs - You Are The Everything, The Wrong Child, and Hairshirt - and i love all of them. They are definitely not to everyone's tastes but i'd stick them on repeat all day I've never heard songs like them. anyway, I'm Gonna DJ is a good sign for the next album!
