hot hot heat, sam roberts, matt good, the arcade fire, NEIL YOUNG..., rheostatics, alexisonfire, boy, matt mays, the trews, death from above 1979, sloan, french kicks, danko jones.... i could go on, but there is no point, just cuz bands dont get heard outside of canada doesn't mean we don't have good bands, it just means we don't have so much commercialized garbage all countries have crap music and good music, its a matter of looking for the good music i could say that the US and britain have garbage bands too but thats just ignorant because there are plenty of good bands too. It's all a matter of what you hear in the media. uhg, and thats enough of my speal ;D

bachman turner overdrive
and yes, neil young is another exception... forgot that for some strange reason
but for every robbie robertson, neil young and bto, there's a celine dion, nickelback and bryan adams.

but for every robbie robertson, neil young and bto, there's a celine dion, nickelback and bryan adams. you can't tell me that all counties don't have this with music though, honestly, busted in the UK, millencolin in sweden, britney spears, nsync, backstreet boys, and many others from the US. All countries are the same for this sort of garbage music anyways... back to the subject, did you give the band a listen?

nah, its my sister's boyfriends band. He plays guitar and is lead vocals. I think that they're real good but the like almost all bands they need a better singer.

We do have a lot of shitty bands from Canada. That is why I want to start a band. Some good bands are Matt Good, The Trews, Sloan, Neil Young. Shitty bands Nickelback, Default, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Sum 41 (too many to name)

nobodys mentioned the best canadian band: tragically hip. like, every canadian has one of their albums. if you live in the suberbs you're issued them; they come in the mail along with shampoo samples
