Keith Richards likes them. im sure he battered that bloke who got on his stage years ago with a rickenbacker.

Paul Weller doesn't play a rickenbacker 600 . He plays a 330.
Rickenbacker 600's are the cheapest, and prolly ugliest rick guitars in production today, and are equivalent to Les specials. They barely look like their more famous kin. I'd save cash up for a real good looking rick.

what the hell are you talking about???
every electric rickenbacker is gorgeous, has a great neck, and great tone, 660 or no 660. the 660 is a beauty. get it in fireglo (of course).
it's handmade in santa ana, california. the neck is so smooth and easy to play on. the head is so cool. the best part about the 660 is how light it is and how easy it is to get up to the highest frets. DON'T THINK TWICE, GET IT NOW!!!
oh, and tom petty uses a 660. rick even made a 660 signature model of his.

Tom petty is also the living dead. Basically I can name one person who uses a 600 series rick and that's Tom Petty.
If you want the one that Paul Weller, George Harrison, John Lennon, Noel Gallagher, and The Byrds have all used, try the 330 or 300 series. Much fuller looking, and historically, you can say that Tom Petty doesn't play it.

petty uses 360s, but is more known for 660s and telecasters. and don't diss him, he's great. at least your name kicks ass!
