I read in one of my buddies magazines that LIAMS voice is starting to fade a bit i have not really noticed that.. hes like 32 he should be good for many more years ,but i am biased anything he sings sounds great to me. any truth here or is it typical rubbish?

noel's voice is great and liam's too but I have to admit that he's becoming weak on some songs such as SCYHO. listen to glastonbery 2004 or lighthouse pool... but the album version is great

Firstly, sorry to have to ressurrect a decade-old thread - especially on EVERYONE'S favourite topic.
But I find it interesting that here, in 2014, we clearly regard Liam's voice as having worsened considerably by 2004.
Back actually in 2004, I can only imagine we didn't have the hindsight we do now - hence lots of posts here saying "yeah his voice has changed but it's not that much different, it's still great" - People were obviously still riding the Oasis wave.
Now ten years have passed since then, and I feel that many people associate some awful performances with that era, simply because they have the hindsight now to compare it to what it once was, from their safe vantage point of 2014.
That's a real benefit of this forum, you can easily unearth old posts and it shows just how much attitudes have changed, and I find that fascinating.

Youtube wasn't around, meaning it was much harder for people to really see the decline of his voice and compare to past performances. This would make a huge difference on our perception.

Even though YouTube hadn't surfaced by then, 2004 wasn't exactly the middle-ages - people knew exactly what Liam's voice was like in its prime, we'd all had Live By The Sea etc. on VHS for years and Oasis had literally been everywhere, to the point where there was no real way of not remembering the 90's days.

But the world wasn't aware of what his voice was becoming in 2004 unless you had tickets to the gig proper, considering there was no media at the time (other than shoddy bootlegs, of course) to indicate as such. I agree with the other bloke, Youtube made a huge difference.
