What sort of settings do you all use when listening to rock music?

I've been trying to find a good balance of Bass and Treble but can't get it right.

I like a good thumping bass setting, but that usually drowns out some of the more hard to hear instruments and effects.

If i turn up the treble the "s" sounds start to become dominant, and you can hear some sharp hisses (especially with Liam singing).

any suggestions?
