HEllo everyone, I don' fucking know what to do!
I bought a webcam today and my laptop doesn't notice it's plugged in the usb port, does anybody know anything abut this kind of thing?
An old friend of mine had the same problem but I thought it was just her laptop, it's sort of old.
Anyway, mine is new, and the webcam won't work, I've installed the software and all but the fucker doesn't notice it's plugged in.
Help please!!!!

You could go to the makers website, and see if you need to update/download some drivers for it to work?

I've done that, it's called "trust".com, but it's nt that, I've installed the drivers and all, it's just that windows doesn't notice it's plugged in.

Maybe you need to restart your computer after you've installed it? Thats what I had to do.

I don't think it's that. It should say "new hardware found", but it doesn't, the fucker.
I'll restart it anyway.

No, it hasn't been recognised, I?ve checked various times. And yes, all the usb ports work, I've used them to plug in my cell phone. And I'm not sure if works on other pc's, it's one day old, I?m going back to the store today anyway and see what they tell me. Thanks for your help anyway guys.

So I went to the store and they gave me another one, and this one works, so it's alright now.
