probly had this question a million times and Im sorry but...
What would you recomend as the best way to get mpg files on to dvd-r's. Ive just got broadband and a new member to this board and wud much appreciate some help.
havent a clue how to do it

patience would be a better approach....
do you want to make a dvd video of the mpgs or a data disc? nero can write mpgs to dvd and with a dvd writer you usually get software that enables you to write dvd videos.

yeah sorry mate just got a bit confused as this thread had been moved and I didnt understand where to.
Yeah i basically want to put the mpegs i have on my computer on to a dvd-r so that i can watch them on a standard dvd player on playstation 2.
What is the simpliest way to do this; do i need a dvd writer (dont know wat that is to be honest) or can i just use nero?

yeah you'll need a dvd writer to be able to write dvds.... that would be the first thing to sort out...they are quite cheap now compared to brand new duel layered ones..... if you have the money get a duel layered one which allows you to write more to a disc... if not, a single layered one is still ok to use then with that, if new, you may get software with it which allows you to write dvds from mpg files, if not we'll find another software for you $te
