i converted a .WMA file into a .MP3 file but winamp still won't play it. any ideas why?

hmm.. maybe it's a problem with the sound systen configuration... but I really don't know how to solve it

i converted a .WMA file into a .MP3 file but winamp still won't play it. any ideas why? give more details.........what did you use to convert it??? have you tried it in other programs other than winamp? did you try to convert it again, and still get the same problem??? from the information you gave, the only explanation that springs to mind is that, the .wma file was liscenced, and you cannot convert liscened files, cause they are supposed to protect copyright, and can only be played on pc's with the proper liscence.......the liscence would have been lost during conversion, and so it won't play.............................. <<----------- just a suggestion
