Glastonbury Headliners Confirmed? The Speculation Continues
The Glastonbury rumour-mill has been working overtime today, with various websites claiming news of the official headliners. However, the official word from organisers is that the announcement will be made June 2 and that anything else is pure speculation. Unless Michael Eavis gets overexcited again and tells everyone…<br>
Currently only Paul McCartney has been officially confirmed by Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis. However, Oasis and Muse are now being touted as the remaining two headliners for the June festival.
News from the Oasis official website is that the band are still in talks saying, "For those of you who have seen stories in the press regarding Glastonbury, Oasis are currently talking to the festival about playing on the Friday night but this is not yet confirmed."
While the Muse website is typically tight-lipped on everything, except their already confirmed appearence at this year's V Festival.
We'll let you know if this changes.
Other self confirmed appearences, rumours, hearsay culled from band websites, fansites and some bloke off the street include PJ Harvey, The Chemical Brothers, Damien Rice, Doves, Daniel Bedingfield (!?), Faithless, Jamie Cullum, The Bees, Blondie, Christie Moore, Snow Patrol, Kosheen, Basement Jaxx, The Cure, Scissor Sisters, Elbow, Franz Ferdinand, QOTSA/Eagles of Death Metal and The Thrills.
Rest assured Xfm Online will bring you all the details and speculation over the coming weeks.
