This would have been greatest musician of all time’s Birthday today. Born on 17th November 1966. So in tribute to the great man i'm going to turn the lights down low and play Grace.

I don't think I've actually heard any of his songs....think Jamie Cullum did a cover on his debut album though....

I love jeff buckley...ive got grace which is amazing but I also have one of his live cd's called mystery white boy...as good as grace is, ya cant beat buckley live...jmo And i agree...had he survived going into that river...he couldve become the greatest musician of all time...such potential just lost makes me depressed...

father and son. dying young does wonders. overated dead pop star. look at james dean, he was a shite actor but death was the best career move he ever made.

I got 'Grace' earlier on today. Great album! Hallelujah & Lover, You Should've Come Over are great songs. My favourites from the album, plus 'So Real'. What a singer!

I think Hallelujah is a really haunting song. i prefer Rufus Wainwright's version of Leonard Cohen's original.

Although people are normally hailed because they die young it is also because often because people's best work is their first by dying young they don't make poor albums or films. In the case of Jeff for me personally I wouldn’t sacrifice as much of my time listening to Jeff Buckley’s albums if it was just because he died young. Grace is my favourite album of all time; it is the most diverse album I own. It is an album that slowly grows with every listen until you can’t put the album down. I would also like to point out he is still a cult figure not known to casual music fans so I don’t think in general it is true to say he is liked purely because he died young.

The 1st time I heard Hallelujah was at my god daughter's Christmas infants school play...They played that and REM , afterward I tracked down the song..Maybe I should look out for "Grace"
