This track inspired got stuck in the head of Lennon and inspired him to get back in the studio after a hiatus and make Double Fantasy. That album though doesn’t come anywhere close to McCartney II in terms of quality - evidence that Macca was well on top as the strongest solo Beatle when this was released.
This one opens the underrated Flowers In The Dirt, co-written with Elvis Costello. Not sure how this wasn’t a massive hit.
The first Wings album is absolute dreck, but the closer Dear Friend - about Lennon - is one of his best tunes ever. For a guy who was never as revealingly emotional in his songs as Lennon, this is one of those tunes where he really opens up like John would have done.

AdidasNG72: Seeing as BHN is my favourite album of all time, yes I agree 100%. BHN is a unique masterpiece in its own right, and something that will never be attempted by another band ever again, as no band will ever be as big as Oasis again.
