The 3:35 Trip Inside (Be Here Now) fake demo.
edit because since this is a discussion i have to discuss what i wrote: i like it, it's like a early instrumental of Stand by Me, the real be here now demo is boring, if i had to choose between the 'fake' demo and the real one, i'd go with the fake one because it's something we'd otherwise never hear.
Now you are wondering why i wrote this, well, it's simply to trigger those who got triggered by it before.
Now you're probably saying "hey alka that's borderline trolling!" and i say to that, in the spirit of christmas, yes it is! doopity doo.

When I'm in the mood, Let There Be Love is a 8/10 for me, well, at least the Liam parts, when Noel kicks in it goes back to 5/10, not because of Noel mind you, it's the lyrics, "come on baby blue"? seriously Noel? What the fuck. So actually it's still because of Noel because he wrote it. Not my problem. Bollocks. Noel’s part is the best, and Noel needed another verse. Furthermore, it should have started stripped down and then build into a sweeping majestic epic like SCYHO. But instead, Noel intentionally kept it stripped down (massive mistake) and it turned into the mess it became, with the unnecessary extended outtro being absolutely pointless. So much potential with this that came nowhere near to being realized. Yeah, they should've scrapped Liam's verse at the end and added another Noel verse, because it goes from just Liam's voice to Noel's voice and instruments and then ear rape strings with almost no melody to just Liam's voice again and then it just ends. Beautiful. I still think they should've changed the lyrics in the Noel part though, they cheapened the song.

Finally finished high school, and finally decided to make a post about it.
So 2017 was a shitty year for me, depression, anxiety and all, getting from skinny guy with a big head to slightly overweight guy with a even bigger head, which no one noticed, partially because they didn't care, and because i wear some giant parkas (Thanks Liam!) so it's barely noticeable. I only went to school 2 days a week, my mom was okay with it in the beginning, because my anxiety was too much for me to go 5 days a week, but as the year went on, my grades fell apart and my mom started to worry, so she started making me go to school, which fucked me up even more. I don't want to make this even bigger so long story short, things worked out in the end, I'm not depressed anymore, thank fuck, and anxiety is in an all time low, it's still there, but it's not annoying anymore. My school basically took my grades and evened them out so I would pass, and i'm really grateful to them for doing that for me, god knows I don't deserve it, but it will help me achieve something in life.
I wrote in the other thread that I hate Christmas, and I do, but I'm happy today so why not:
Merry Christmas everyone!

2017 was the worst year ever for me, and that's saying something, because my house burned down back in 2012.

I'm with Noel. I don't give a fuck about christmas. I have to talk to people that i even forgot were related to me, i barely get any gifts and it's mostly clothes, as if i get out of the house more than one time a week. The only aspect of christmas that WOULD BE good for me is the fact that is cold and all, but since i live in a city where the lowest temperature ever registered was 19.6 Celsius back in January... 1986, i couldn't give less of a fuck about winter.

Very nasally in that SMS performance. Not easy to listen to. He sounds nasally since 1996. That's just the way he sings. What matters is he's hitting the notes and holding them most of the time.

The only songs i'm keeping on my daily playlist are The Man Who Built The Moon and Dead In The Water. I'm going to write some doodles about the rest, actually just the singles because i'm haven't listened to the album tracks (except TMWBTM) enough to have a precise opinion about them.
So, the singles... eh, not my thing. Holy Mountain sounds like Noel was unnaturally sober in the studio at 1 in the afternoon and David Hasselhoff or whatever that producer's name is, came in and said "hey we need a catchy tune for the album". Fort Knox is ok, but i don't want to listen to it again. It's A Beautiful World doesn't do anything to me, it's boring.

I don't like to participate in the "Liam's voice" discussions, but i just want to add something, the whole tour taking it's toll on his voice thing, people may think it's a new thing because others keep showing examples from the DBTT tour or something, but that's wrong. It started in the DM tour, just listen to that Vancouver 1995 bootleg, it was near the end of the DM tour and Liam sounds awful, the only good thing about his voice in this gig is that he sounds angry so Bring It On Down sounds pretty good but that's it. I remember when Listen Up from this gig was posted on YT i saw some comments talking about how it was a cover band because "it doesn't sound like Liam"

What the hell is this thread even about? Yes the title I get it, but the title is not enough. The title implies its for us to write which one we think is the better song, but the people in the thread seem to be going about which one is more popular... Now I'm not going to give the whole "you guys should go outside xdxd" but which song is more popular doesn't matter. That can change in the matter of 1 internet year. Some kid with no arms and half a leg can play wonderwall with his shoulders and it will get 25 million views and 4chan is gonna track him and make the news or something, then Wonderwall will be more popular than DLBIA, and the same thing can happen with the other of course.
Edit: yes, one can view the example as "very offensive", and even I think it's kind of a bad example, but it's realistic so I'll leave it in. No i'm not a troll.

I decided i needed to remind myself how fucking awesome SOTSOG is so i gave it a listen, skipped Little James because i'm only human. Liam's voice in Go Let It Out does things to me man.

First time writing here.
Man today I did absolutely nothing, which is normal for me and for some of this forum I believe. I was thinking this afternoon how awesome would be to have a kid. I would prefer to have a girl, because then she would probably inherit her mother's looks and personality (or so I hope), since I'm neither too good looking or interesting. I like to believe I would be a good dad, you know, do normal dad stuff, take her to school, teach her how to ride a bike (even though I only learned how to do that when I was 13). Then I thought to myself, why am I even thinking about that? I'm 17. Well I didn't have an answer for that. Maybe I'm a failed middle aged man stuck inside a 17 year old. Then I just got back to playing GTA Vice City.

This thread really is dead, and i know i keep reviving it, so... sorry? but i need to say stuff and i don't want to make a thread so..
I love the demo title for The Death Of You And Me, which is (People Who Would Be) The Death Of You And Me, yes it's fucking long, but it rhymes so well and sounds so good when you think about it.

- I Can See A Liar is fucking awesome, but that's mostly because of Liam's vocals. - Lyla is shit, haven't listened to it in 10 years, and I'm not going to. - Let There Be Love (Album Version) is better than It's A Crime, the latter is kinda boring to me. That said, the lyrics on the demo are much better. - SOTSOG is the second best Oasis album. - A lot of people seem to love BHN here so I'm sorry for offending 90% of the forum but I don't really like BHN that much.. There was a period where I did listen to it a lot, but now, the overproduction makes it very difficult for me to enjoy it and I'm not even an audiophile, it's just really, really loud and mostly white noise.
Since the guy up there wrote some of his opinions on BDI/HFB i'm going to do it as well because why not. - I really never bothered with BDI much, mostly because I prefer Noel's more "soft", melody driven songwriting and for what I saw, BDI is mostly rockers. But not really an unpopular opinion: Four Letter Word is mega. - HFB1 is Noel's best album, so many absolute TUNES in there, Jesus christ. - Many people here, critics and some of my friends saying Who Built The Moon? is Noel's best album. I think it's the worst yet. CY had almost as many bangers as HFB1, just of less quality on some, but the only songs on WBTM that I found interesting are The Man Who Built The Moon and Dead On The Water which is a live recording, and probably the best song Noel wrote this decade (not really an unpopular opinion as well).
