He really likes that eagle vs. pigeon thing, that's the 3rd time now! In The Q Interview, Dorian Lynskey hears about the boundary-busting Who Built The Moon?, his enviable work-life balance, and why Liam is going to remain frustrated: “I’m trying to soar like an eagle and I’m being asked to comment on the ramblings of a common pigeon.” www.greatmagazines.co.uk/q-print-single-issues/eqqqespi/q-december-2017He's taking that High Flying Birds concept too seriously; the way it's going he'll soon include "Hotel California" in his setlist. I see what you did there....bravo

MY OPINION It's enjoyable. It's not the wild rock record you'd expect Liam to want to put out, actually more mid tempo and ballad-ish. Also, there's no true standout, undeniably brilliant song on here. The first week sales are strong because of Oasis's existing fan base checking out what Liam's solo debut is all about. It will most likely die down after this, but still nice to see Liam have some success. I do think it's better than the two Beady Eye albums. The first week sales are fucking huge. They represent something way beyond the oasis fanbase. They represent a current, relevant artists who has captured not just the attention of all those who have grown up with him, but a whole new generation. And he has given them a great fucking album to go with it. word...

For anyone looking forward to hearing the Air Studios version of 'Paper Crown', its again slightly ruined by the autotune. Is the version that's up on YT fake or real? Its not been posted by LG official account

It appears from this forum and particularly the "5 best songs from As You Were" thread that this is a criminally underrated song but I love it! Good one mate!

Well I saw it tonight and I'm afraid I didn't like it. After getting home I saw it shared a writer with Alien Covenant so that explains a lot. Oh no...I’m sorry to hear that - I’ve been looking forward to this movie for so long The trailers looked amazing - Denys villneuve is such a talent I have seen blade runner - honestly - about 50 times is such a favourite I’ve tried to stay away from reviews and haven’t been able to see it yet because I’ve been ill ...I’m really keen though What didn’t you like?

Nice... im so happy for liam....it’s not by accident either that he’s enjoying this success...there’s been an incredible co-ordinated effort - blood sweat and tears from him deb the band and all involved - we’ve seen it play out right in front of our eyes...remember the first live gig in Manchester and how it’s taken off since then....like rolo said go back a year to where he was - incredible well deserved success! i think the Australian charts come out on Monday so we’ll see but I’d expect a good showing

In the current climate, the optimal time for artists like Noel and Liam (Not teeny bopper pop chart shite) to release albums is either Q1 or Q4. So as neither of them had albums and promotion ready to go by Q1 2017 it was always going to be Q4 2017. Of course one of them could have delayed their release until Q1 2018 but perhaps that would have had a knock on effect for tour dates etc. So I think the close proximity of the release is due to the current climate in the industry rather than any dastardly Masterplan from Noel. But as we can all see from the Holy Mountain video, he'll still dance if he wants to dance.
