So The Dying Of The Light will be the new single? Geez, ANOTHER single. Another single that deserves to chart better than it will. At least we're getting a new track even if it's just a demo. I was fearing the next B-side would be Freaky Teeth.

Is he not playing in London this time? That's weird. I guess I will have to wait to see if a European tour is announced, since London is the only place in the UK I have a direct flight connection to. I don't think all the dates have been listed on SeeTickets yet. Can't see him missing London from a UK tour. There must be an official announcement soon if tickets are going on sale on Wed... Surprise Album Number 3 announcement anyone ;-P Let's hope London is on the list. As for the 3rd album, we know it's not going to happen, but it would make sense to release it early next year before the tour. The way this second leg of the tour has been programmed is just strange. After all, Noel is not one of those artists that are constantly touring, regardless of whether they have released an album or not. The last gigs took place in July, there's a couple of performances in December, and the tour resumes in March. As I said, it's very strange.

Nebraska is the one Springsteen album I listen to. Amazing stuff.
I reckon Noel would do a good Atlantic City.

The album was announced one year ago today. Let that sink in.

This week's tune. Bloody brilliant.
"Ah, look at that crowd! Some are jumping up in the air, say "We're drowning in a torrent of blood!" "

Remember that this is a bonus release. We got the last album 7 months ago and we'll get the next album in due time. The remix EP doesn't interfere with other releases. I thinks his next 'brilliant' album will be scrapped like the AA sessions, then around 2019 we'll get Come on Outside, Just Let It Come Down Over Me, She Must Be One Of Us and Don't Stop It Happenin'/Bye, Bye My Family Don't get me wrong, but I am a little bit tired of his promises and lies That could be, we won't know until the next album is released. My point was that the remix EP is not getting in the way of other stuff. I don't think She Must Be One of Us will ever get released, by the way. I could see the other songs being B-sides.

I'm still quite shocked this has come out. Just imagine the amount of songs Noel must have tucked up his sleeve... and we get remixes?! I'd have been over the moon even with a 3 track EP of new songs. Oh well Remember that this is a bonus release. We got the last album 7 months ago and we'll get the next album in due time. Anyone got any pics of this sexy package? I knew I'd be moving house around the shipping date so sent it to my parents - will be a few weeks before I get my hands on it. I don't have pictures, but it's nothing really fancy. There is no gatefold and the records come in plain black sleeves. Noel has gone full IDM with this release. I found this picture on Google, you get the idea:

One of my favourite Oasis tunes. I will always remember the day I saw the video for the first time on the telly, it must have been around January 2000. It was like "holy crap, Oasis are releasing stuff again!". Ah, the days before the Internet.
The arrangement is absolutely great, it's got a nice structure, a cool as fuck intro, a good twist at the end when the chord progression changes for the last refrain and two guitar solos! What more can you ask for? It seemed to be quite popular at the time, I heard it a lot on the radio.

I can picture Sardy listening to BOTMI and immediately telling Noel that "it's not plodding enough".

It cannot be that Noel is working with Sardy again. It simply cannot be.

Interesting turn of events. Now we just need to hear that Dave Sardy is in New York too and there will be a mass suicide on the forum. That's not unlikely, as he lives in New York. Oh, does he? I thought he lived in LA. Well, let's hope it's nothing to worry about then.

Jeremy Stacey is in New York too, according to his Twitter. Probably unrelated... but what if he's recording drums for Noel's secret album? Interesting turn of events. Now we just need to hear that Dave Sardy is in New York too and there will be a mass suicide on the forum.

Imo, the computers are a kind of instrument. But I hate these! If a song there isn't a guitar, bass, drums or piano, it won't like me. Call me classic No offence, but I find it funny how you always say something doesn't like you, instead of the other way around www.studyspanish.com/lessons/gustar.htm

I think you are doing yourselves a real disservice by rejecting music produced by electronic means. Most of the really interesting stuff that is going around nowadays is of such kind; guitar-based music is pretty much dead by comparison (even though there are still great things coming out). You guys should really check out early Aphex Twin, it's one of the most common entry points for people getting into electronica (and IDM in particular). Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and the Richard D. James Album are pretty easy to listen to and great. EDIT: I just realised The Escapist posted Xtal a few messages above. Great minds and all that...

Should we take from this that red wine, fruit and cheese are the only things that will make Noel smile?

I just realised that we keep referring to this thing as an EP, yet even when the instrumentals are removed, it should be about 50 minutes long. That's even longer than the album.

I'm really looking forward to have the Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve's remixes in good quality. They were both really great, in my opinion. The other remixes are quite good too... the weakest ones are probably the two different ITHOTMs by Toydrum, and X-ray Eyes by David Holmes sounds promising judging from what We've heard so far. I still think that Noel should have given the whole album to Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve and let them have a take at every song on Chasing Yesterday. Now that would have made a proper, coherent remix album. I actually like the idea of having a variety of artists remixing different tracks. If anything, I would have included more instead of the instrumentals. The remixes by Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve are great but more straightforward, in the sense that they are closer to the album versions. I like the contrast with other tracks such as the Weatherall remix where the original song is turned into a completely different beast.
