Noel has said previously that he doesn't like it because it's too 'pop' sounding

Noel doesn't like it (or the rest of BHN for that matter) but as we all know he's a twat.

I love him more than any musician, but I gotta say that Noel's one weakness is his ability to describe his own songs…always seems to come up with most non-sensical descriptions of them.

Noel has said previously that he doesn't like it because it's too 'pop' sounding It is quite pop sounding indeed, but that's hardly a bad thing. (By "pop" I mean melody driven, with a relatively light tone -- I'm not comparing Noel to One Direction )

It is quite pop sounding indeed, but that's hardly a bad thing. IMO, it's sounds more like a stripped down All Around the World, except with an actual outro, and shorter. Nevertheless, in both songs, and in most of what else Liam sings on BHN, sounds great. IHITIK is a standout vocal track for him, however, along with Fade In-Out and Don't Go Away.

For me is IHITIK the nost oasisisounding song ever! Don't know why, maybe it's because be here now was ny first record in 1997 from oasis and I was at my first gig! I listened to this record in this time many times every day and did know every word from every song! I have so many goid memories if I listen especially to this song! Also The girl in the dirty shirt is a song like that...

I kinda agree with Noel on this. I mean i always liked that tune, but i liked it better when i was 18 because it is quite poppy, cheesy holiday ice cream tune, dyou know what i mean. It's a good song but i prefer others from BHN at the moment. Don't Go Away for example i listened a few times lately, brilliant tune.

Noel's vocals on the demo are incredible:
He sings it with such anger, just a shame the quality is so bad

Love this song, Gutted we will probably never hear Liam sing it live.
But would be delighted if Noel sang it on his next tour (Highly unlikely tho)

But would be delighted if Noel sang it on his next tour (Highly unlikely tho) That would be great, I really hope he mixes things up a bit this time round, he should at least occasionally throw the audience a curveball. There are so many songs that fans would go absolutely nuts for. The entirety of bhn for a start! In the last 10 years oasis / noel can't have played more than about 30-40 songs live. Which maybe adds up to about 30% of noel entire collection of songs. Which is piss poor.

It is one of my favourite Oasis songs. Probably the #1.
It was released as a promo with the red dice cover art, though not sure if it was released in UK, North America, Asia, or wherever else.
It was, at one point, going ot be the lead off single for BHN until Noel wrote DYKWIM. We have also pieced together some info from involved sources that IHITIK may have evolved out of 'The Red White and Blue' an early song of Noel's. Of course there is no recording of that track that has surfaced, yet.

There's a lot of songs on BHN that sum up exactly what Oasis was going through in 1997, and that is what make it such a great/fun album. It is a mood piece for sure. Songs like DYKWIM, My Big Mouth, IGBM, AATW, and the title track just have a madness and celebratory nature to them. That said IHITIK is one of my favorites off of it. It is kinda of the Roll With It on the album but Liam's vocal is so strong. Really really pushes the song over the top.
I think the lyrics are some of Noel's most underrated. The lyrics are surprisingly honest and emotional but they are assured and confident. The balancing act of desperation and confidence was the element that made Oasis so special and you can really hear it on this track, whereas on some of the other BHN tracks its just brash noise. Its a CRIME that they never played this live.
