The US is turning into the basket case of the world. Religious discrimination under the guise of "protection". Unconstitutional and blatantly racist and disgusting. Christian refugees will get priority over others? How does that even work? Travel for Americans is going to be even more risky now as no doubt the real extremists will look to hit back. This is just madness.
Imagine if there's an assassination attempt on Trump, and his bodyguards scream 'Donald, duck!'.
Since the entire election and Presidency has been cartoonish it would be a fitting attempt if it was done in costume to resemble this scene
I'd like to think they just were cartoonish and blundering their way through the first week, scarily I think it's way more dangerous than that and they're actually all pretty evil. Looking forward to the Russian sanctions announcement after his Putin phone call in the next few days!
That's video shows he's delusional. When he's faced with the facts he goes against them. That is psychosis.
It's also a trait of narcissism- I know I have posted the narcissist check list, etc. in dark humour already but it is another symptom to deny reality and attack any facts that go against their warped view of said reality.
So in summary Donald Trump has nothing to back up his claims thus far and the only fact in all of this is his own people are registered to vote in multiple states?
That's video shows he's delusional. When he's faced with the facts he goes against them. That is psychosis.
This is the problem for the people who say, "let's wait and see."
This is who he is. He's not going to all of the sudden see the light. This is the person he is. These are his flaws. These will remain his flaws.
His temperament is totally unfit for the White House. As should have been obvious to anyone with half a brain during the election.
Closing your eyes and wishing it will get better, won't make it better. We have a loose cannon for a President. And the idea that the people around him will calm him, is still the most laughable statement of this election next to emails having some importance.
What you see is what you get.
And you can be absolutely certain he won't be calm and collected when another country stands up to him or gets under his skin. War with Iran anyone or even China?!?!?!
You seem to be proceeding on a 'hope for the best' basis.
The only other course of action is to act like the sky is falling, which I'm not too keen on.
The sky isn't falling but there's a lunatic, thin skinned, incredibly ignorant narcissist in charge of the US and in charge of the largest nuclear arsenal in the world. A guy who can't cope and lashes out when faced with even poor TV ratings or any sort of criticism.
We're already well on our way to our own isolationism and a "race to the bottom " with Brexit cuts in corporation tax. Will the EU survive in the midst of all this?
I read that Spicer in his press conference tonight said they will defend international territories in relation to China's south sea islands. Nevemind a trade war ,Trump seems intent on going to war with China.
Yet he wants to pull out of all other military involvement in the world? So for example Japan who are under nuclear protection from the US if Trump pulls out will probably then look at developing their own nuclear protection.
Then theres the Iran deal, you've got to expect that to be scrapped soon.
What a mess.
I think the EU is in the balance at the moment, although with Trump pulling out of TPP I don't know where that leaves TTIP which I assumed the incumbent UK government were quite keen on, and moreover it will be interesting with the withdrawal from the EU if the trading arrangement does go as well as to where this leaves the UK if other major trading countries adapt similar protectionist policies.
The cuts in corporation tax here will undoubtedly benefit the City of London who in the face of being the only profitable area of a decimated economy will wield even more power, despite not actually contributing to any part of society outside City of Westminster and Canary Wharf. The Middle Eastern prominent families incidentally have been buying up areas of London in both commercial and residential sectors to the tune of billions of pounds over the last year and increasingly so with Trump entering office, so I do wonder if they are concerned enough about how his policies may directly or indirectly lead to drastic changes in that region.
The sabre rattling both economically and militarily over China suggests that the Trump administration sees the rise of China as more pressing the Europe, Middle East or Russia, or at least at this moment in time and to that extent I still think that the US will continue with involvement in Japan or S. Korea unless the plan is to sell conventional and nuclear weapons to the latter two countries. They will be playing a dangerous game taking on China, which will be a very different adversary in both categories to their opponents of the last sixty or so years- I hope he realises this is not the same China of the Korean War era.
I don't think Trump realises anything, he's all gut instinct and will lash out in an instant. I think he's also pretty uneducated on foreign issues. It'll be ok though, he's being advised by Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus Kellyanne Conway.......!!!!
The other concerning aspect to all of this is does Trump's economic, military and social policies embolden similar behaviour in other countries around the world, including here in the UK?
I have also noted from the articles above and other sources that whilst withdrawing from TTP negotiations Trump has met with J&J and Lockheed Martin executives to discuss cutting the top rate of corporation tax to as low as 15% from 35%, which I assume will be met by cuts in healthcare, social and welfare programmes going by what I have seen thus far.
The other angle is the protectionist measures for companies relocating outside the US< I can't see China for example willingly surrendering their low paid labour intensive roles in order to relocate them to the USA to take on the desperate as Trump's policies begin to take effect- A Chinese-US trade war would not be a healthy thing for the USA or other countries caught up in such events as covered by Fortune in December Why America Would Lose a Trade War With China

Horrendous isnt it? The US is going back in time. The pic of him signing the order is just horrible, all men and Bannon looking on.
I honestly imagine him having this scene in his head of his supporters watching his Presidential address-
I was watching a video of him signing off the people he wants in his cabinet last night on the first day. As he signs the first one,Paul Ryan turns to him and says "that's your first law". Once again it hit home, Donald Trump making and signing off 'laws". Mind boggling.
Nice to see "Don" helping to increase Maternal mortality rates alongside other related issues such funding blocks will cause.... A planet facing rising population problems and this is the best the man can come up with? I hope not but I assume this sets the stage for the next four years at least.
I am not normally this confrontational but any thoughts from the staunch Trump supporters on this matter?

Anyone see the White House press conference?! What the actual fuck?!
Scary as hell. Seeing people defend it because of the "liberal fake news" is even worse. They should be worried too.
His Twitter this morning is once again totally delusional. Then there's the Tweet this afternoon obviously written by a staffer. He really didn't look mentally well doing that speech at the CIA yesterday, it was incoherent and rambling (although most of his speeches are). Very troubling, what will happen when there's a crisis or another country tries to stand up to him ?! Hes so incredibly thin skinned,he won't have the mental ability to stand back and view it from a different angle. It'll be carnage.
