Listen again. 1st and 3rd time it's "will you guess" and the 2nd it's "really gets".

The second chorus he definitely says "really gets my meaning" but the first and third are definitely "will you guess my meaning"

^ He's not, he's just going on the fact he's heard "four letter word" used interchangeably with "swear word". Whether that's the way Liam & Co. intended it, nobody knows.

Damn it. I thought it was going to be a good tune... but some cool music and yet another nothing chorus. Where is Noel when you need him? Not one hook in this damn song. I wouldn't go that far. For what it is, it's a decent enough song. You can't have been expecting LAG to evolve into brilliant songwriters overnight.

^ I agree with all of that. Listened to the preview song. Very uninspiring and that attitude won't help win them fans.

^ Melodically I would say "good but nothing special" is an apt description. Lyrically, Craig Finn is miles ahead of anything Noel could dream of.

I think it sounds like american music rather than specifically Nickelback Is that really what you think American music sounds like? By the way, Nickelback's Canadian, so don't blame us for that shit.

To tomlivesforever, does it matter how good the riff is? It's still not really a song. While technically a song only need have voices, does a tune need voices to convey a feeling or emotion? No. I didn't say that a song needs vocals to convey feeling or emotion. Just like the other poster, you're putting words in my mouth. Fuckin' In The Bushes is pointless because it has no melody. Not because it has no vocals. Off the top of my head, Macca's Singalong Junk has an absolutely wonderful melody and that's an instrumental. I love that tune. Fuckin' In The Bushes is just cut-rate Zeppelin minus Robert Plant.

To tomlivesforever, does it matter how good the riff is? It's still not really a song. You need to broaden your music horizons if you think instrumentals are pointless Don't put words in my mouth. Fuckin' In The Bushes is shit and pointless. There are good instrumentals, great fucking instrumentals that have been done in music history. Fuckin' In The Bushes doesn't make the top 1,000,000,000. I said that song specifically, not all instrumentals. Admittedly I should have worded it better initially when I said "I will never understand Oasis fans' obsession with an instrumental". I really should have said "I will never understand Oasis fans' obsession with an atrocious instrumental like Fuckin' In The Bushes". I really should

Those two spots are essentially interchangeable, but I do really like Arctic Monkeys. Why do you ask? I don't really ask anything I just saw it and thought "oooo that's a bit controversial" javascript:add(%22%20;)%22) I don't mean to be. I think I accidentally ruffle feathers on here because I say what I think. But I don't ever mean to stir up trouble or insult people. And think of it this way: Oasis had 7 albums, Arctics currently have 3. They could keep building on it, or they could go downhill and Oasis would overtake them. Plus, you could ask me tomorrow and I might just have Oasis above them.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of Bruce fans. Never would've guessed I'd see so many on an Oasis forum.

To The Eyeball Tickler, he sings the way that apparently annoys you on Three Ring Circus but it doesn't seem to bother you there. I call it a trill, but I'm sure that's not the proper term. Lennon did it a lot, so I doubt Liam will ever stop. I really like it in music myself, and Liam sounds good doing it.

^ Not to be a dick, man, but Don't Go Away is far from impossible. Great vocal for sure, but well within range. A song that I would describe as close to impossible to sing is Grace by Jeff Buckley. It's hell on earth trying to hit the wordless high notes at the end with power.
Back on topic, though, two more good Liam ones are Listen Up and Rockin' Chair. For Noel it's gotta be Falling Down.

Yes, especially Don't Cry is really good. The others are alright for me. And for every one of those you have four ones where Axl is squawking over the whole song.
And I feel like my critiques are fair because, as I said, I used to be a fan.

^ I'm torn on that. I liked GnR a lot more a few years ago (than I do now), but melody has taken a much firmer hold of me in recent times. I think I'm fair in my assessment of BDI (not too skewed one way or the other) and I think it's perfectly reasonable to prefer a more tuneful approach as opposed to GnR's...not so tuneful approach.

Cool topic. As with any music fan, this list is anything but set in stone. 1. The Beatles 2. Big Star 3. The Gaslight Anthem 4. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band 5. Arctic Monkeys 6. Oasis 7. The Killers 8. Weezer 9. Nirvana 10. Mando Diao On The Bubble: Raspberries, Cheap Trick, Badfinger, Teenage Fanclub, Fountains Of Wayne, Matthew Sweet, The Posies, Taylor Locke & The Roughs, Emitt Rhodes, etc. You like Arctic Monkeys better than Oasis? Those two spots are essentially interchangeable, but I do really like Arctic Monkeys. Why do you ask?

Maybe when you grow up you'll learn that such a move is very self-involved and childish. There is 0% chance there would've been a problem if Liam told them months in advance that he wanted to leave by *insert date here*. This way, he's being responsible and letting them know so they can schedule the recording times as needed. Pity you're too far up Liam's ass to realize that. No point in trying to get the guy to be sensible about Liam. He's a troll and his troll persona is that he is up Liams ass. Just ignore him...or view him as bad comedy...or like a crap performance art piece. It what all of us do. Yeah, I really should know better. I will give it to him, he's gotten me to bite multiple times now.

I will never understand Oasis fans' obsession with an instrumental. I have literally no use for it. Skipped it when I owned the CD and once I ripped the album to my computer I was rid of it forever. hahaha You have no soul. Oasis fans are so polite.

Sunday Morning Call is rendered useless by Where Did It All Go Wrong?, a far better song in the same vein that comes right before it.

Gem looks nothing like John, definitely looks like Paul, and definitely looks like him in the comparison picture spaneli posted, but I have no idea whether it's just because he's frowning and George is always grumpy haha.

The problem I see is the lack of quality on SOTSOG overall. At best, I can do this to make it solely consist of great songs.
5 Track EP 1. Go Let It Out 2. Gas Panic! 3. Where Did It All Go Wrong? 4. Roll It Over 5. Let's All Make Believe
