Still have no idea how you listen back to this. You can’t do it through their app or the website and the radio.com link doesn’t work

Anybody seen this before?
Gem Archer had a small part in a series called West Heath Yard broadcast on Channel 4 in 1999 before he joined Oasis. He played a member of the fictional band Expo 70.
West Heath Yard - Episode 5/6 The action follows two faded 70's rock musicians Denny Lorimar and Jackson Gold running a near-bankrupt recording studio in London. They devise a number of make-it-big schemes, including trying to steer a shambolic group of 'indie' musicians to Britpop level stardom.
A well-observed cult satire of the music industry and early 90's indie pop, broadcasted on Channel 4 and S4C.
Denny Lorimar - Edwin Collins Jackson Gold - Sebastian Redgrove
Written & Produced by Edwin Collins, Sebastian Redgrove, Martin Perry With: Billie Godfrey, Thomas Whyte, William Collins, Stoppa O'Reilly, Chris Hering, Andy Hackett, Dominic Green, Pavlos Kryriacou, S M Jamal, Marc Reid, Keith Cullen, Ben Redgrove, Steve Hudson, Jenni Innocent-Cook Expo 70: Jake Black, Paul Mulreany, Chris Bowers, Colin “Gem" Archer
Director: Martin Perry Hothouse Production
Transmission date: 1999
Gem can initially be seen at 7:06

3024-03-24 Andy Hackett & Donna Driscoll The Gospel Brunch, Boogaloo Radio,London, UK
Apparently Gem Archer was interviewed on this show between 1200-1400hrs. I am unable to find a recording and the website doesn’t seem to allow you to listen to previous shows
There was no publicity about this at all apart from Gem himself mentioning it during an interview on Virgin Radio this morning

Apologies if this is the wrong place to put this
2024-03-24 Gem did a short interview with Andy Goldstein on Virgin Radio
Oasis and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds legend Gem Archer joins Andy Goldstein on Virgin Radio UK to chat about how unique the Royal Albert Hall is, what British music icon Paul Weller thought about their recent gig, and how to make the perfect veggie roast potatoes!
Gem also says he will be appearing on Boogaloo Radio today on Andy Hackets show between 1200-1400. I can’t find any reference to it at the moment

Great photo of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts too.
I think she sums up the Maine Road gigs perfectly: It was a 'look what we've done, Manchester, look what we've done for you'.
We were very lucky she became involved to document the story of the band. One of my favourite photos of hers is of Liam stood outside Abbey Road in late 1996

Did Noel use an Epiphone Frontier because Steve Marriott used to play one as seen in the video below

2000-04-17 Q101 (WKQX 101.1 FM) Studios, Chicago Hey Hey My My Believed to be part of a four song session for radio but was never broadcast. Broadcast next day and available as .asx file from official website at the time - now taken down. Can be heard here at 1:22:21 Taken from Oasis-live.net www.oasis-live.net/shows/2000/2000-04-17Supposedly a studio session for Q101 (WKQX) in Chicago. Noel is on vocal duty and Liam thanks the crowd at the end of the song, saying "it's good to play for you again", suggesting that he fronted at least one other song in the set. For a while U had I suspected that Q101 had just broadcast a live take from a date of the 2000 tour but can't find a show with a version of "Hey Hey, My My" that sounds like this... Anyone have any information about this?

It was 22 years ago yesterday since Oasis appeared on CDUK Headliners. 2002-03-16 CD:UK, ITV, Waterloo Studios, London, UK this was a brilliant performance, love RNRS. Lots of energy here and the crowd were great too I’ve always thought it was better than the performance they did for TOTP around the same time. I think Paul Stacey is on Keyboards off to the side of the stage by Noel. Jay Darlington joined the band for the main tour but Paul Stacey did the first few performances, you can see him playing during the columbiahalle gig in Berlin on 10th February 2002

Not seen this interview with Gem before 2000-04-04 Twin Cities at Cityseacrh madferliam.tripod.com/newsite/interview05.htmlAccording to this interview the band flew to the US landing in New York on 3rd April 2000 They had the first gig of the American tour at the Paramount theater in Seattle on 5th April which would have required another 6 hour internal flight. Just trying to get my head around the scale of the travelling involved and there would have been time differences too!

Can’t wait to hear some more live versions of the songs
Love Mars to liverpool, Just Another Rainbow and you’re not the only one …but like them all really.
Was initially thinking when they play live they would need another guitarist to fill out the sound but listening to the Johnathon Ross performance I think it works, there’s a lot of space so you can hear everything, nothing is drowned out, even Liam’s shaker, thought it was good he was using it for a specific part rather than more of an image thing, sounded good too.

Shakermaker is running a great channel. Descriptions are great indeed. Really tells the story of the tour. How does he know all this information?!?

I haven’t been able to find the date of this interview but at a guess I think it would have been January 2000 during the early promo for the album.
Does anyone know the date?
Dave fanning Always thought he was a good interviewer, really pushed Noel.

I thought it was in the page which has the lyrics to WFL on. In the photo is a rack of Noel’s guitars and I thought it was the second one in from the left. I see what you mean, it is the signature guitar version not the actual version apologies

It is also captured in the inner sleeve artwork of SOTSOG in a guitar case with some other guitars I don't think I've ever noticed this one. Is the picture in the record sleeve or in the CD booklet? In the CD booklet. It’s a photo of the equipment in wheeler End Studio and it is in the case with some other guitars, I think another is the white Rickenbacker Weller gave him. I’d take a photo and post it here but I have no idea how to do it and struggle attaching any pictures to my posts in this forum.

This has been a well-kept secret for almost two decades... I haven't finished the Union Jack page yet, but I can confirm that the blue&red parts were actually made of vinyl sticker! The guitar was primed white, then the stickers were glued on it and a clear coat was applied at the end. You can spot the stickers bubbling here and there. How many times did he use the Union Jack guitar? The two Maine Road gigs obviously. It also appeared on Top of the Pops for two songs on 22nd Feb and 29th of Feb (confirmed to be a second Union Jack by Noel) and he uses one of them in the Champagne Supernova video and the MTV Awards performance of CS. Any other ones? Not sure if any other gigs. It appeared in the Hindu Times video. On a stand behind Noel by his amps. It is also captured in the inner sleeve artwork of SOTSOG in a guitar case with some other guitars

The photos show incredible detail. Little bits of damage here and there on both the frontier and Union Jack. What is the finish on the Union Jack, almost looks like each part of the flag is stuck on like a sticker. This has been a well-kept secret for almost two decades... Yeah, she's one of the greatest guitar photographer around. Maybe the best one at the moment. She's photographed the guitars shown at the BME exhibition - I suppose for a magazine article.
