Black Star Dancing was also played. This is the full setlist: 1. Fort Knox 2. Holy Mountain 3. Keep on Reaching 4. It‘s a beautiful world 5. She taught me how to fly 6. Black star dancing 7. Rattling Rose 8. This is the place 9. Wandering Star 10. Dead in the water 11. Importance of being idle 12. Little By Little 13. Whatever 14. The Masterplan 15. Half the world away 16. Wonderwall 17. Stop Crying your heart out 18. What a life 19. Don‘t look a back in anger 20. All you need is love Besides What A Life, he really seems to abandoned his solo work from the first two LPs? Sad, there are some incredible tracks. Was also hoping he would throw in one other song for the last gig in 2020, but no...when he announced Black Star Dancing, he did the same Oasis joke ("This one is for Oasis fans"). Otherwise, he was very quiet on stage. At one point, YSEE had some kind of problem, looked technical with her in-ear or monitor and Noel paused and went over to his sound guys seemingly being quite angry at them. After 2 minutes, the show continued. Got one nice pic of Noel and two others to illustrate how small the concert was in the end, they really had big troubles with the ticket prices to sell.

Newest development for the Bangkok concert (and confirming my suspicions that they are having a hard time selling tickets): The concert ground on Saturday belongs to a shopping/event mall. They just announced free 2nd category standing tickets if you shop at their mall for 200 GPB today and tomorrow. Gutted I bought the ticket in the first place though, I could have definitely gone on a shopping spree there...

Andy has been way to critical of Noel to be allowed back. Guigsy would never do it. Liam Gallagher(Lead vocals, Tambourine) Noel Gallagher(Co Lead vocals, Backing Vocals, Lead and rhythm guitar) Gem Archer(Rhythm and lead guitar) Chris sharrock(Drums) Session dude or maybe bonehead(bass guitar) Liam and Noel would be a given. Chris and Gem would be in, because of the NGHFB connection. Liam would want Bonehead involved, hence him on bass. Though they could put Gem on Bass just the same. Only down for that if we get Jay Darlington on keys.

Anybody also at the solo concert in Bangkok on Saturday? Tickets are outrageously expensive (which is in general the case for international acts in Thailand, but for Noel the price is even higher than for comparable acts), so I'm curious how packed (or empty) it will be. I got the VIP (front row) anyway...which equals about 120 GBP. Starting price is 90 GBP. For comparison: Tickets for The Killers last year ranged from 72-90 GBP and I just went to a 2-day festival with King Gizzard, The Horrors, The Drums, Swim Deep and Bombay Bicycle Club in Bangkok for a ticket price of 120 GBP...so I'm wondering if the booking agency is not shooting themselves in the foot as the outdoor venue is quite large. Tickets still seem to be widely available. I'm curious as well to know what the turnout will be with those prices. Were Oasis very popular in Thailand? I don't even know if their Asian tours ever took them to Bangkok, & if Noel ever played there since he went solo. There is a strong local fan base in Bangkok (for instance, a really sweaty drunken night is this Oasis coverband night in Bangkok: www.facebook.com/events/2383765675220235/) and a big British expat population (20.000 - 30.000). Though the local fan base is usually on the lower ends of the average income and those ticket prices would eat up a very big junk of a monthly salary. Noel played Bangkok before in 2012 (ticket prices ranging between 20-60 GBP back then) and Liam was here once in early 2018 (concert was a disaster, he was not fit and cut the gig short). Oasis played in Bangkok once in 2006 (it was part of a 2-day concert night with Ian Brown, Placebo, Maximo Park and Franz Ferdinand) - I didn't live here at the time, but what I've heard from other Oasis fellows here it was an awesome gig. Initially, I was surprised that he makes that stop in Bangkok. I almost bought tickets for U2 in Singapore on Nov 30 and Dec 1 as I assumed he'll support their too. However, Bangkok has a stronger concert promoter scene for 3-4 years, so I guess they must have made him a very good offer to turn down supporting U2 in Singapore and instead do a solo show in Bangkok? Hence the ticket prices maybe...

Well thank fuck he had a rethink. The version I heard was a full on, unapologetic Christmas song that was instrumentally like a parody/pastiche of cheesy Xmas songs you would hear on any Xmas single compilation, where the main instrument was sleigh bells as shakers throughout the entire song (lounger than the drums, acoustic guitars - basically Noel singing along to sleigh bells like a Cliff Richard Xmas single). In addition were the bell chimes you can hear now, which he's kept. But yeah, you may be disappointed that the element of Noel Gallagher doing a Christmas single has been taken away from the final mix, but don't be. This is better. Btw there's another recording that's been done of a song that's an old friend of all of ours that I guess will be released maybe with this or later. Did he re-record Come On Outside or is it the same version we’ve had for years now? Probably a re-record and in the same "different" style than Revolution Song. So it'll be the same, just better recorded.

Currently in Japan on holiday. Can't even get it myself. None of the websites allowing me to use my UK bank details to get the track. Ugh Ask the receptionist at your hotel to download it for you and give him/her cash. I guess it was released accidentally though, I am in Thailand and it hasn't appeared on iTunes or Spotify here yet.

Woah - fantastic with Gas Panic! And so pleasantly surprised the band didn't butcher it, they really moved on and sound decent. Thick drums and good guitar sound!
And with Bonehead, live on a SOTSOG Oasis song, weird, but great!

This at 1:29 is quite funny, can't recall Noel doing this on any other live song (nor any other live Helter Skelter version):

He hasn't played Evil Flower live yet, right? Do we think he will? No, and probably not. All he's done are BSD and TITP, with a bit of RR in Europe earlier this year. I'm actually hoping for it to be in the set during his one-off solo gig in Bangkok on November 30, but we shall see.

Contrary to all other Gallagher-related material post-Oasis (including Beady Eye), I don't go back to this record. The River and Invisible Sun are outstanding track, One of Us and Once are good, the rest does not do anything for me.
First time in years that I won't buy the newest vinyl single, but having my most hated track NTIFY on vinyl is just not an option for me.

So I bought TITP vinyl but Evil flower is not in my downloads. Does this mean I have to buy it separate like I did Sail On? If so wtf, this is getting annoying and my phone is a mess with these eps Exactly. I emailed Noel's store after Sail On did not appear as a download and they told me it's not included with my vinyl purchase. This is really stupid and the same again for Evil Flower - to the music industry experts: What's the reason for that (if any)?

Not his best day vocally (voice sounds tired), but nice harmonies with the female singers on this acoustic version on BBC:

Funny thread this. Don’t know if the truth about the “Mafia Board” ever came out but here goes. When that Frank Lomax guy was trolling the forum and dangling carrots like that about 10 or so Oasis traders/collectors set up this other forum, I can’t remember the name of it but we basically set it up to try to get that Lomax guy to share Stop The Clocks on the forum. We made a load of old posts on the forum talking about unreleased stuff so the forum looked like it was around for a while then we invited Lomax. We pretended to share rare stuff on the forum but it was stuff we had played around with in audio editing software, can actually remember one guy editing Just Getting Older and making it sound like a live version and tagging it as Cardiff 2002, sure we did other songs as well. That Lomax guy for years kept chelping on about this hidden “Mafia Board”. He didn’t end up sharing it on that forum but we nearly had him. Funny times. woah that‘s hilarious haha. You guys should collect these song edits and put it out there as a bootleg.

For those who claim (same people over and over again) this album it´s no rock, i´ts pop, it´s like Take That , it´s like Robbie Williams blah blah blah... Have you heard some songs of the group you´re supposed to love? Maybe Wonderwall, maybe She´s Electric, maybe SCYHO, maybe Let There be Love, maybe Let´s All Make Believe, maybe Don´t Go Away, maybe Stand By Me, maybe Sunday Mornig Call....aaaaahhhh wait wait wait...these songs were written by Noel Gallagher!! Nah, no problem, it´s fucking Noel Gallagher. Another recurrent argument here: Liam´s not singing his own songs, lyrics are from another person, he has not passion about these songs....ahhhhh wait wait wait...when Songs are written by Noel this BIG, ENORMOUS problem completely dissapear...uhhmmm... WHy me? Why Not is a GREAT album, although many here will never ever recognise it. I know these songs and I love them and they are not full of pastiche like "Now that I've found you". It's the production I have an issue with mostly, to a very minor degree it's also the songwriting and the melody, but with a less plastic production, I guess I wouldn't mind that song that much. That's why I still would prefer FWIW, also cheesy as hell, but the production doesn't sound as plastic to me. It's straight forward pop, but not with all those reverb sunshine surf guitar sounds. Towards the Motown record proposal: I'd be all up for that haha, just make it not sound plastic.

Solid record, but really not digging Now That I've Found you. It sounds like a Rooney song, if I want a poppy California radio sunshine track, I'll go back to Rooney or Phantom Planet, but this style doesn't suit Liam. Too pre-mature, too teeny. Don't like it. Have you heard Stay Young? ☺ haha, sure. But Stay Young is much more of a rocker and more edgy with its multiple guitar layers etc. For me, the whole arrangement of the song is cringeworthy. These ‘woohooos / uuuhhhhhhs’ and overly pop production, doesn‘t fit Liam‘s solo career so far. A nicely crafted pop ballad as For What it‘s yworth works better, it doesn‘t have all that pastiche over it that Now That I Found You has.

I was contemplating already if I should fly to Singapore for the U2 concert with Noel supporting, but he just announced a separate gig in Bangkok on November 30, 2019: www.ticketmelon.com/very/noelgallagherSuper happy! Ticket prices are - as usual in Southeast Asia - absolutely outrages (and the current currency exchange rate doesn't help...), so a Noel ticket will cost between 100-136€ here...anyway, definitely going. Still hoping that the same promoter gets Liam to Bangkok again in December. Did it say hes gonna tour with u2 in Singapore or anywhere in asia? Yes, and I was surprised I didn't find a thread on it. U2 is doing the Joshua Tree Tour in Australia and New Zealand plus Singapore (two nights there) and Noel is support for the AUS/NZ gigs in November, strangely not for Singapore. He'll come to Bangkok instead for his own headline gig. I edited my first post - I mistakenly thought he was also confirmed for U2's Singapore gigs, but apparently not.

I had tickets for the concert at Rock am See in Konstanz, Germany. The night of the 28th, I was playing a small concert with my old band in Austria. I was supposed to catch an early morning train from this small village where the concert took place to team up with some Oasis fans from Vienna on the train and than start the booze and party on our way to Konstanz together.
As it was 2009, I didn't have a smartphone yet and network reception in this small village was horrible. However, our drummer received a message at 2am telling me Oasis split up. I didn't believe him at first after the couple of beers I had at the concert venue. Desperately tried to get some network reception and checked some WAP-based websites for news about the split, which cost a fortune in those days.
Finally found some credible news website and I needed more beers to absorb the shock. In the end, I decided not to go to Rock am See, it wasn't worth all the effort and journey for me and I was too disappointed.
10 years after, this night is still a very vivid memory for me.

Would there be any proper reason why it would have not been registered when its format is eligible? I highly doubt there is - just imagine there were massive sales and it would have gone to Top10 but was not registered? Wouldn't make sense for Noel, would it? He considers it closer to a single than an album. I doubt he registered a 3 song EP as an album. X If this was the case, he would have left one remix off and simply register it as a single (and still call it "EP" in interviews) - chart appearance would be publicity in any way, it just does not sound Noel-like to consciously decide against anything that could give him potential news coverage and indirectly more sales opportunity. Don't we have any connection to the UK charts that could check for us internally whether he registered it or not? Would definitely be interesting to know.
