Wow, nearly 5 years! I still think this is a great album in all honesty - One of Us is a great pop song - Once is a great ballad, still one of his most popular songs (I remember the massive amount of hype at time of release) - Why Me? Why Not is a great mostly Liam-written song - Gone has a great string section (I could say that for most of the songs on here to be fair) I’ve always been a big fan of the instrumentation on here, it’s so colourful, and the strings also sound great. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Fan of it, definitely, albeit I don’t play it often like I do with AYW and COYK.
Good memories though - I met Liam at the HMV signing for it - talk about a memory to treasure.
Singles all memorable: Once for me is the best solo song he’s done, and One Of Us video is really emotional! The River a highlight of future live sets.

It is better than C'mon You Know and worse than As You Were.
Or maybe it all just become boring and repetitive, so I remember first album as the best because it was all fresh and new.
It has few interesting and good songs but almost half of that album is forgettable. I mean, literally forgettable, as I've forgotten half of the songs.
I've forgotten that half of the songs even exist, and now, reading the titles of the album's songs, I can't recall the melody or lyrics of some of them.
Combining this album with the "C'mon You Know" would create one good album.

Only listen to Once, One Of Us and The River (which is a monster tune!) definitely his worst album in my opinion. Just not my cup of tea this far down the line. The songs are to a bit too sappy and to me, unlike Liam. For anyone makes me literally wince it's soo bad.
The vocals are great though... that there is no doubt.

I remember buying it on CD and vinyl back then cause I was hxped after "the river" (still one of my favourite gallagher releases), but the album went down a bit unspectacular and especially "shockwave" was something I really did not like. But in autumn 2023 I listened to it again after years and really enjoyed it. Never thought that this wpuld age that good, but somehow it did. Feels grounded and vompared to COYK more like an album and not like a compilation in my ears. Still prefer As you were because of the Liam penned tracks but miles above COYK for me.
"One of us", "Once", "The river", "Halo", "Why me why not" all these are really good and I have a soft spot for "meadow".

That would not be that hard and I don't get why they leave out such a cool moment on purpose.

I think it is Liam's best album. It has a good mix between (sub)genres and influences that makes it colourful and more interesting than the other two. AYW has great songs too, but is more repetitive. CMYK sits a level below both these albums, both in terms of sound and style and the quality of the songs.
And speaking of a Liam Gallagher-John Squire album/Just Another Rainbow, I think that Invisible Sun is a great example of what that should sound like.

Great album. Since they haven't been mentioned yet I wanna say that Be Still, Alright Now and Meadow are all amazing, too. I'm especially loving Be Still lately. I love how Liam sings that "we were born to die" part. And Misunderstood should have been a proper album track and could have even been a single.

One of Us is the best thing he's done solo. I also love Alright Now, underrated gem.

It’s by far my favorite Gallagher solo album. The only tunes I don’t care for are NTIFY and Meadow. Conversely, I genuinely LOVE One Of Us, Once, WMWN, Be Still, Alright Now (one of his best ever vocal lines in this one), The River and Gone. I also prefer it to HC/DBTT and although it doesn’t reach the heights of DOYS, I think it’s on par, overall.

One of Us is the best thing he's done solo. I also love Alright Now, underrated gem. One of Us is probably his most stand out and least Oasis comparable tune. Bloody brilliant

I don't think the singles on WMWN are quite as strong as the singles on his other albums but I really like all the album tracks on this one. I think AYW is consistently great all the way through with great singles and really clear, strong vocals making it his best post oasis album by far. WMWN is similarly consistent but the singles aren't quite as good overall and I don't think it's his best work vocally. CYK is very mixed, some really great songs and really great performances from Liam but also some real throwaway tracks and some vocal takes that sound like they're straight off of the BE album.
I do really like WMWN though and I'd place it as his second best post-Oasis album.
