Bump for this, would be really grateful to anyone who takes the time to listen and even feedback.
This was years in the making and heavily influenced from the early years of Oasis and I hope it doesn’t sound arrogant to say it shows. You have to back yourself I suppose 😃

I listened to your album last night and this morning and I liked it. I can hear the Oasis influence, though The Only Way has a Nirvana vibe to me. I have to say that the vocal on the first song, Playing The Edge, seems buried in the mix. I don't know whether that was the intent. I really like the second half though, particularly No Romance... it has a nice riff driving the verses.
It's a good album! What happens next? Are you touring the album, or recording another one?

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to listen and even more so to post 👍 No plans to tour as the original band are no more unfortunately, this album was more of a personal endeavour to see something through. That said there are more songs in the bank that could be recorded for a follow up release if I can get commitment from the others

Also I don't think the vocal sounds buried in that song. As someone that mixes tracks, I know that kind of distorted vocal in the verse where you cut the highs and lows out becomes very mid focused and you have to somewhat "bury" it, otherwise the perceived loudness of that vocal effect can cause it to sound harsh and honky and and overpowering in comparison to cleaner vocals when they come back in, so it has to be brought down in level to sit in the track, and the mid frequencies are maintained anyway, allowing it to cut through. The person mixing made the right choice.

The person mixing made the right choice. You may well be right regarding the mixing of the vocal. While the vocal still doesn't come out enough for me, this opening track has become my favourite on the album. Thank for explaining the mixing of tracks. I am not very well versed with mixing, but it is something I will be getting more into this year.

Thanks also for the response on the mix, I placed this in the hands of a production engineer but had sign off on the final cuts. I am not technical enough myself to explain the process but the vocals in that track sounded exactly how I had imagined other than Liam would have been singing this one 😂 All feedback is welcome and really pleased you have given it enough attention to have arrived at a favourite track on the album. Thanks so much
