Isn't Parlophone owned by Warner anyway? How does it make a difference?

Probably nothing more to it than just Liams obsession with everything Beatles. I'd assume any Oasis record would be via Big Brother anyway?

Label mates with Coldplay, Blur and Kylie amongst others.
Who knows maybe this will result in more freedom to make music he likes. More rock, less pop hopefully (Kylie collaboration incoming).
Wonder if it was his decision or Warners.

I want a Definitely Maybe style punk rock album. I don't care if it will be a less commercial album.

Really? It's probably a load of bullshit but time will tell and I doubt very much this sparks a reunion if it's true.

Parlophone must have offered him better conditions in some way for him to make a move, but then again it's also a Warner label anyway, so probably not too much of a big deal. But if this leads to him working with different producers/writers it would be very interesting

Interesting, Parlophone has a more "alternative" music image. Maybe that means different music being produced. Something a bit less pop.
Cant see why the Oasis reunion rumor. Pretty obvious if Oasis ever record again it will be under the big brother label.

Do we have any idea if maybe Parlophone pushes things more in the United States? Liam's mentioned on Twitter about basically not being able to tour here and maybe that's a factor? Although to be honest, I'm sure the biggest factor is money, which makes sense.

Although to be honest, I'm sure the biggest factor is money, which makes sense. It can be a lot of things, but I doubt they push more in the US than Warner. It can mean that Warner is done draining him dry and feels his solo career has reached its height and it's gonna go "downhill" from that. Or they are not satisfied with album sales and the next move will be a more "organic" Liam. compared to "plastic" Liam from the last few records. Britpop nostalgia has also reached its height this summer and could end after a few years. His contract was up if i'm not mistaken. When Warner does not sign another contract, it means they dont see the cash. That doesn't mean his career is not a success, just that they don't want to invest that much money in him anymore. Or maybe he was asking a lot more cash, coz the first deal he signed well, he was basically dead. Or maybe like Noel he is launching his own label and Parlophone will distribute, like Noel does. Who knows, so many possible reasons.

Finally - a chance for the Chris Martin/Liam Gallagher supergroup collaboration that everyone has been clamoring for.

I wonder if this is why he has had 3 live albums out in the past few years. Maybe he released The River, MTV and Knebworth to finish up his record contract (presuming labels still have a contract as a number of albums, rather than over a select number of years?)

Liam is definitely one of the biggest selling and popular artists in the UK, there's no way Warner is not satisified with that. If he moves labels, it will be on his own terms.

No big deal or that much will change in terms of future releases or his studio work/collaborations. As already mentioned Parlophone belongs to Warner anyway and it's more focussed on british artists so makes sense to have him in their roster.

He will no doubt have more freedom at Parlophone, which can only be a good thing I suppose. Now it's time to make the right choices and move away from the pop Liam.

Who knows, so many possible reasons. You're wrong about the potential money side of it. There's nothing to suggest he won't make good sales for the next few albums. Even a formula as soulless as the last album where he has 11 songs given to him to record in a few weeks equals a hell a lot of money. I just don't think he was happy doing that. For the first album he had more of a license to put his own stamp on things and the powers that be seemed to think going down an all songwriter approach for 2 and 3 would mean better songs and quality. I don't think that happened. He will be much happier if he can get a mix of the two again.
