I still like this album but I still despise the production on it.

Not listened to it since last summer i think, and dont feel like putting it on. Same goes for other Liam's solo records though. Instant nice, then forget.

Definitely the worst Gallagher-related release ever in my opinion, maybe 2 or 3 songs I would go back to

Personally I still love it but I'm also not surprised that it's the worst selling of the three albums, the amount of promo was pitiful Yeah but it's kind of bland though. As records, none of the three are very good but there's more good Liam-esque songs on the two first ones. This one has maybe 2-3 songs that are worth anyone's time. Not for me. I like just 2/3 tunes. It's the worst Gallaghers related album, imho. I prefer by far the two BE album over CMYK. I was going to say that's kind of harsh but my comment above does work for DGSS so, yeah I think I agree. AI writing songs for Liam for the third in a row. Of course it didn't age well. Completely pointless album, you can't get away with it forever. I don't think that I can remember more than 3 songs from this album. AISIS is better. That actually is a big harsh though. Is it formulaic, sure. So was Oasis and the second any of them started going out of those parameters (IE BE and WBTM), they were copiously shat on. You can't please everyone can you? Not listened to it since last summer i think, and dont feel like putting it on. Same goes for other Liam's solo records though. Instant nice, then forget. Same, I very rarely listen to the others. Except for this one, I didn't get the instant nice feeling. I never liked it. It's the first ever Gallagher related album I didn't buy.

Listen to at least a couple of tracks a day - whole album at least twice a week. Love it still.
All about opinions!

First Gallagher related release ever where I couldn't tell you the lyrics to some of the songs. Usually even songs I don't like I end up playing enough to learn how they go.
Isn't to say there isn't high points, More Power and Too Good For Giving up are great. Albeit that the latter yet again has a better version that isnt a stadio version (a common theme in Liam's solo career)
I was always worried album 2 wouldn't be authentic enough because of Liam's lack of input but they stuck to his core values and everything that makes him what he is. With this it was Liam singing a bunch of songs he had no enthusiasm or passion for and at times just awful stuff (I'm free).
It served its purpose before Knebworth etc, but album 2 doing well made them think they can just keep doing this lazy formula and I don't think they can keep getting away with it. Liam needs more involvement in everything next time and start putting a bit more effort in.

There are things I like and things that I don't on this album. To me the best thing that it offers is that Liam's is pushed forward new sounds, with I'm Free, Diamond In The Dark, Moscow Rules or the sax bit on self-titled. But definitely the worst part is that is an album without focus. Even the good parts of the album are fucked without this main idea. The dub part in I'm Free is the best moment on the record, but the rest of the song? I just don't get it. The sax bit in CYK is at the very end of a very dull song. Is an album of moments instead of a cohesive listen.

Agree ..on listen again after many months it's an album of totally jumbled music..since I created the discussion I've not even listened to it since ha ha

The weaker songs scattered throughout kind of ruin it a bit for me. It's one that I have to keep skipping tracks on whenever I put it on. The good stuff is really good though and Liam's songs are strong.
Everything's Electric, Better Days, Diamond In The Dark and Too Good For Giving Up are all really strong, up there with his best solo stuff and all have brilliant vocal takes.
More Power, C'mon you Know and Worlds In Need are really solid album tracks and compare well with the non-single tracks on his other two even if the vocals aren't as strong as the songs mentioned above.
Don't Go Halfway, It Was Not Meant To Be, I'm Free, Moscow Rules and Oh Sweet Children are very average to poor for me though. They all sound like Beady Eye filler songs and when Liam has a team of songwriters behind him I expect better. I can also kinda tell by his performance on those songs that he wasn't feeling them much either.
The highs are really high but there's just too much uninspired filler scattered on there. I think the bonus tracks are on par to maybe a little better than those weaker clutch of songs so I don't think a different tracks listing would have helped much. One thing I disagree with a lot of people on those is that it's any kind of sonic departure to his last two albums, the odd quirky instrumental break here or there isn't really pushing any boundaries so I'm not lukewarm on it because of that aspect. It's still a good album for a 50 year old singer when compared to his peers and I'm happy that Liam is releasing albums that are at worst still decent and enjoyable but it's not as good as the first two.

I was initially intrigued when Wyatt said he was pushing Liams boundaries but what comes across is that the boundary pushing was a labour of love for Wyatt but Liam doesn't really seem involved. LG is just there doing his thing. I'd rather just hear Liam singing proper full blooded rock songs.

Just listened to Wmwn for the forst time since 2020 and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it and there was way more variety in the tracks that I remembered. Come on you know never really got me I have to say and I completely forgot some songs, which did not happen with the first two albums, where maybe some songs dissappesrwd from my mind but as soon as I heard them they felt familiar. Come on you know kinda felt cold

Apart from Worlds in Need (which I don’t like) and Moscow Rules (which I’m not bothered about) I either love or really like the rest of it.
My favourites: I’m free Everything’s electric Too good for giving up It was not meant to be The joker

I've not listened to this in a while, has some really great songs mixed with some average at best, unfortunately it's just a really unbalanced album (IMO anyway)
But the grest songs on it are bangers!

A few bangers that I still can fall right back in with (Everything's Electric, Moscow Rules, Better Days) but also the worst solo song from any of the Gallaghers (I'm Free).
I gave the whole album a relisten last week and came away very meh, which lines up with when I first got it. The most underwhelming of his three albums. However, it's never a bad thing to have more music from any of the brothers, so my complaints only go so far.

He makes himself listened to calmly, those who are aging badly are his predecessors.

Love hearing the diff style of vox and his voice on stuff outside of the traditional style is always a treat for me.

It's his worst solo album and one of the worst Gallagher related album The problem is that there are really bad songs like don't go halfway, sweet children and I'm free
Moscow rules is definitely the best song on the album and one of his best solo song tho
