Just got back from DC show. Same setlist but Noel sung his heart out. Sounded great. He seemed like he’s ready to go home though.

Was a great Noel show at Merriweather. He impresses every time w/ how hard he plays, he’s a true top tier professional.
Crowd was into both bands, and while there were some empties, it still felt pretty well attended. I recognized a few more Garbage tunes that I thought I would. They were rawking. Shirley is a great singer.
I felt Live Forever was the highlight of the set. Pretty Boy was a good opener too. The place get pumped for Tge Masterplan and start of the oldies, then Noel confuses everyone w/ Going Nowhere, haha. Heat of Moment just doesn’t sound good, Roxy’s don’t even sound good on it.
Overall, a top night as always! So happy I bit the bullet & will boogey up the road to Philly for tomorrow.

I mean not too long ago we never had to worry about this. Now it's all virtue signaling and "I am good person" buy my record. I find it laughable the thought artists give a care. If I were in a band, I would say absolutely nothing political or social. We are not here for that and we don't need to alienate a portion of our fan base. Interviews we talk about the music and songwriting process. On stage we play, thank the crowd and leave. This is exactly all I want from a band. Noel has been pretty good about that. so, you're not incorrect here with the virtue signaling. PR is pushing big-time artists to become political and it may not be their own original thoughts at all. there is a reason that artists who never said a word about what they want their fan base to believe or vote for just a few years ago have suddenly become extremely outspoken. it's marketing. not all are like this, but many are. politics have always gone hand in hand with music, especially alternative music, but never forget that celebrities are controlled. one of my favorite bands now ONLY speaks about politics and almost nothing else. it's every single social media post and every single bit of stage banter and every t-shirt worn by the singer at a gig. they have been around for 20 years and this is a brand new thing. I want to give a disclaimer that I quite literally work for an idealistic environmental non-profit. but I'm also very tired of the show. I respect that. If you like it. We all have our different likes and wants out of a artist.

Any one heading to tonight's show/soundcheck? I may head up early to see if I can get him after the soundcheck.

From vids and fan accounts his voice seems to be in the best form it's been in the last 4-5 years, wonder why that is

The Importance of Being Idle god I love this song. don't think it's been on any of the setlists I've seen (unless someone can correct me about the US tours over the last 12 years).

I was exiting mad trauma at the time and a lot is lost in the ether lmao but I must've been freaking out. I remember Dead in the Water from that show though and that was killer the main thing I remember from the WBTM tour is the weird look Noel gave me that I attribute to my bright turquoise hair when he signed my vinyl copy of WTSMG

Last two nights it’s been:
Garbage 8p-905p Noel 940p-1045p
He switched it up & played We’re On Our Way Now & Know We Can’t Go Back instead of Heat of Moment & Easy Now.
Good show. Worth the trip. Nice venue w/ a skyline view that’s pretty unique/sweet.

Really enjoyed the show tonight. Highlights for Mr council skies, pretty boy, and open the door… (favorite). Also, i was surprised how much I liked little by little. I saw it was on the set list but noel really seemed to put his back into that one. Glad the weather cooperated!

I’m still baffled that he didn’t put this out as a single just before festival season when CY came out

Hard to believe that X-Ray Eyes was a single and YKWCGB was not

Kinda bummed he left the solo for Gem. I love when Noel does the solo and he used to do this one.

Sounds like it was an eventful but successful US tour. I really hope he manages another US leg next year, it would be a shame not to get the "full" CS set over here, whatever that ends up being.
