Is the next gig the final one in the us tour? Jesus people are pathetic. Somebody talks about being inclusive and not destroying the planet and someone's response is to say they're going to bomb the place? What a loser. I don't think it had anything to do with that. Although concerts aren't the time or place for a lecture.

Starting to get jazzed for Merriweather show. Taking my older brother, who was w/ me at Rosemont '98 & San Diego '05.
Disappointing (not surprising) that Ticketmaster had a buncha really good seats on sale lately...ones they didn't sell US THE FANS five months ago. Everyone loses. I still got Pits, but...woulda gladly spent $250/ea. for first row like they had on offer last week or so.
Dealing w/ ticketbastard kinda sours my desire to hit the road for Philly on Friday, but leaning towards it to maintain my superfan standing...and cheese stakes.
Sorry to all the Saratoga attendees, but Noel's got more good stories from a US tour (cancelled by wildfire & bomb threat).

I'll see you at Merriweather! *cheesesteaks, if you decide to head to Philly. ...although stakes made of cheese would be tasty too

Looks like we're getting a refund for the bomb threat boogaloo show at SPAC. Just got an email from LiveNation about it. Anyone else who was there that hasn't already should reach out to spachelp@livenation.com to request one. I put my order confirmation email in the message I sent to them, just FYI.

Yeah, I was super surprised to get 3rd row in Seattle for $120 a couple of days before the show. Could have had front row for $300 but that felt like a bit much (having said that I paid $300 each for Eras tour tickets, so...).

Hey now...let's not hijack the thread w/ politics...
I'm far too busy EXPOSING MYSELF for getting back in bed w/ Ticketbastard & paying three-figures for a prime Philly. I pass this along BECAUSE NOW THEY SUCKERED ME, THEY'LL PROBABLY RELEASE BETTER TICKETS for y'all... if yer still on the hunt. So...it's back-to-back Noel for this guy!! Can't pass up the chance knowing they're dwindling. And we do get relatively lucky in America to see the Gallaghers in smaller venues (w/ less demand) for the most part.

Still don’t understand why he’s playing The Mighty Quinn. What a terrible song

It's honestly a terrible setlist. Some beauties individually for sure, but also some real clunkers, and it doesn't even include the best songs from his new record.

Still don’t understand why he’s playing The Mighty Quinn. What a terrible song I wouldn't say it's terrible, I find it quite inoffensive but it's such a waste of time in a short set like the ones he's been playing. WTF.

I drove up to Saratoga for the cxl show so I’m hoping Philly goes off without a hitch. Big F you to the guy who called in the threat and messed up my weekend. Anyway looking forward to seeing the news songs live. See some chat about the length of the show. Honestly, the set list is not short for a co headlining tour. Seems pretty adequate. Show looks to be pretty well sold on Ticketmaster. Hope everyone enjoys the show.

Just got evacuated from SPAC. Noel never came on. Not sure why. That was the craziest thing. They were so vague and weird about the announcement I think it sort of freaked ppl out more. No one knew wtf was going on. I was sitting in section 12 and knew something was going on when the tour buses took off. Guess they couldn’t announce the real reason bc that would have been worse probably.

You go see an artist but have to leave because of what they are saying, you have gone and seen an asshole So many artists are saying things that your list of artists and actors to go see have gotten pretty small, you're the asshole Old proverb

I posted exactly this some time ago in some other thread. They sound great and do justice to Bob Dylan but ffs, you're not even playing 15 songs, people wanna hear HFB or Oasis, Noel.

Now it's all virtue signaling and "I am good person" buy my record. I find it laughable the thought artists give a care. If I were in a band, I would say absolutely nothing political or social. We are not here for that and we don't need to alienate a portion of our fan base. Interviews we talk about the music and songwriting process. On stage we play, thank the crowd and leave. This is exactly all I want from a band. Noel has been pretty good about that.

This is exactly all I want from a band. Noel has been pretty good about that. so, you're not incorrect here with the virtue signaling. PR is pushing big-time artists to become political and it may not be their own original thoughts at all. there is a reason that artists who never said a word about what they want their fan base to believe or vote for just a few years ago have suddenly become extremely outspoken. it's marketing. not all are like this, but many are. politics have always gone hand in hand with music, especially alternative music, but never forget that celebrities are controlled. one of my favorite bands now ONLY speaks about politics and almost nothing else. it's every single social media post and every single bit of stage banter and every t-shirt worn by the singer at a gig. they have been around for 20 years and this is a brand new thing. I want to give a disclaimer that I quite literally work for an idealistic environmental non-profit. but I'm also very tired of the show.
